Knorr’s Parma Rosa pasta is criminally underrated. It’s the perfect mix of creamy and tangy—like Alfredo and marinara had a baby. It’s rich, comforting, and somehow still light enough that you want seconds. It takes maybe 10 minutes to make, and it always hits. I throw in some frozen shrimp or grilled chicken when I want to feel like I’m doing the most, but honestly, it’s amazing on its own. Pantry staple for sure.

Used to be good. Here's how to make it better.
This used to be a great simple sauce for pasta with much good taste and great color. However, the makeup of the sauce and instructions have changed, so that it is now very medicore. Knorr seems to have done the same negative things with their other pasta sauces (e.g., Knorr Creamy Pesto Sauce). The instructions now state to add the sauce mix to 1-1/4 cups milk and 1 TBS butter or margarine. My current modification is to use 1 to 1-1/4 cups milk, 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), and 1 TBS tomato paste. This modification restores pretty good taste and more tomatoey color to the sauce. I add other things, such as cherry tomatoes, cut up smoked salmon (or your other favorite protein), and toasted pine nuts to make a real pasta meal for me and my wife.
