A: Hi there Sleepygal, With a few exceptions, we generally recommend that all our teas are consumed as hot as possible for optimal effects. That said, we do understand that sometimes hot tea is not everyone's cup of tea. At these times it may be appropriate to ice the tea after you have brewed it with boiling water and allowed it to steep for the amount of time recommended in the brewing instructions. After this we recommend either drinking it or storing it in the refrigerator for no more then 24 hours. Enjoy!

Senna may produce abdominal pain, cramping, or diarrhea and we always recommend checking with your healthcare team if there are specific questions in relation to your personal health background and use of this product. The way senna works for constipation is that it promotes peristalsis which is the contraction of the intestines. The strength of this effect can vary from person to person and is the reason some people experience cramping. We do add complementary herbs to our Smooth Move teas to ease this, but again it can vary person to person. If you are prone to cramping when ingesting senna we recommend our Organic Smooth Move Peppermint tea may provide additional cramping relief. We hope you love this product!

Smooth Move is intended to be drank once a day for occasional constipation.* We recommend following all listed directions that adults and children over 12 years old should drink 1 cup, preferably at bedtime, as it can take 6-12 hours to produce a bowel movement. It’s indicated to use for no more than 7 days but some may need to drink one cup at night for a few days in a row. If constipation is persistent this product may not be indicated for you as it is only indicated for occasional constipation.* We recommend chatting with your healthcare professional if you have more specific questions!
