    I hate the new formula. The new sunscreens make my lips peel. Who wants a lip balm that makes lip peeling worse? No one, thats who. Bring back the old formula, and stop using these sunscreens!! Horrible, just Horrible. Would give zero stars if I could.

    The new formula is NOTHING like the old one. It is a different Color. It tastes bitter. There is less coverage. It is more sheer. The petal glow has nothing pearlized about it anymore and it’s less pink and more neutral. I hate it. I’ve been using this for years and now it’s terrible.

    Horrible New formula

    WHY did you chaNge the formula ?? THIS was hands-down, bar none,the best lip product on the market and when i restocked a few MONTHS ago, it is TOTALLY different and its HORRIBLE. Its a different color, different texture, and it puts the worst taste in your mouth. I can’t stand to even have it on my lips. Go back!!!!

    i have been using Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm for years and loved it. the lip balm i received with my recent purchase in february 2026 is absolutely awful. The ingredients have changed. The color is not the same and it leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. i do not recommend this product.

    Formula has changed, tastes like sunscreen

    I’ve been wearing this lip balm since high school (now 30y/o) … it was my go—to, tried and true, every day lip balm. I work on boats now and used to buy it in bulk as it has spf protection as well. About a year or two ago the formula and appearance changed. It went from having a pleasant berry smell/taste to tasting and smelling like straight up sunscreen. I cannot stand the flavor, tastes like someone squirted banana boat sunscreen in my mouth. The formula also used to have more of a slip, now it has more of that sticky sunscreen texture seen with a lot of sun-balms. I’ve tried using this new formula as I still like the color… but cannot get past the bitter taste it leaves!!! I’m sad to say after 15 years of loving this lip balm, I’m on the hunt for a differe product. If they every bring back the formula that came in a black tube, I would immed buy 100 of them lol.

    Pretty rose shade

    I use to be obsessed with this lip shade back in 2015-2016. Such a pretty hydrating rose color. The applicator was oval easy to apply on the lips. Smelled like nothing weird. All day it would be on my lips.

    Softness, repairing and perfect shine.

    This is amazing, it’s not like traditional lip balms. There’s a variety of colors, and when you apply it, you can really see the shine and softness on you lips.

    I want the old formula back :(

    They changed their ingredients and discontinued the one that came in the black cartridge. This new formula tastes like you have so much spf. It doesn’t make my lips soft like the other one did.

    Terrible taste

    this is really a zero-star review, but I had to leave at least one star to be able to submit a review. I just reordered my favorite lip balm in soft caramel, but i have to throw all 4 tubes away. The sunscreen formulation has been changed and now it just leaves a horrible aftertaste that lingers, making the product unwearable. What a shame. I am hoping that neutrogena changes back to the old formula. I will be on the lookout for that, but in the meanwhile I am on the search for a new lip balm.

    The best lip balm but with SPF 20, this is a lip balm that I could get behind it protects my lips while nourishing them and moisturizing them. I love the shape because it actually compliments my skin tone, kind of my lips but better. All of those benefits while still repairing my lips!.

    My lips feel like butter.

    My lips are always drier than usual during the cold season, and this Revitalizind really helps moisturize them. I like how they feel at first, like they have butter on them, but after a while they feel dry again. Maybe I should apply it more often.until they fully recover

    color and feel very different

    I am also very unhappy with the new product. I wore the healthy blush color for years. The new one isn't even similar. Old one was peachy (like on the website) new one is bubble gum pink. Not comfortable on lips either. Wish you would just leave well enough alone.
