Avoid if you can, much better options out there
The instructions say to avoid harsh chemicals and bleach, how does this make sense for a toilet lid? It also requires tools for installation. This required much more time and effort than I expected based on other brands I had installed. And now I know it won’t even last that long because the paint may chip.

Flimsy hinges
I bought these for all the toilets in our new house in fall 2022 and by Feb 2025 they have all needed replacing (hinges broke). They never looked good on our toilets either. Absolute junk. Do not buy.

Hinge broke, Bemis will only honor their warranty once
After a few months, the hinge broke. I contacted Bemis and they sent a replacment toilet seat. It's been six months since I installed the replacement and the hinge broke again. Bemis will not send another replacement stating they only offer a one time replacement. We are not big people. I'm a 175 pound man and my wife is 135 pounds. It definantely has a design or manufacturing flaw. The plastic hinges break under normal usage. Stay away!

Piece of Junk
We bought this elongated wooden toilet seat in October 2023. Now in May 2024, the hinge sheared, making the seat unusable and unfixable. We didn't save the packaging for it and decided not to bother with attempting a return to Target. We'll get a different brand tomorrow.

Bad purchase!
I purchased this toilet seat less than 2 weeks ago and already it is broken. I tried to get a refund from target but of course they want me to send the item back! What sense does that make to send a broken toilet seat back 🤦🏾♀️ so that's $35 down the drain smh I should have read the reviews before purchasing because apparently another person who brought this item seat broke in the exact same area 🙄 who ever this manufacturer company is that make this brand toilet seat I suggest you take it back to the drawing board...
