Q: is this non-drowsy and suitable for day use?
A: Thank you for your question. Mucinex® Fast-Max® Cold, Flu, & Sore Throat Liquid contains guaifenesin, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine. Guaifenesin is not known to cause drowsiness. The active ingredient dextromethorphan has been shown to produce drowsiness in some patients. Phenylephrine is known to be a stimulant which can be considered non-drowsy. These three ingredients together cannot be considered non-drowsy due to the inclusion of dextromethorphan. We recommend that you consult with your Doctor to ensure this product is right for you and your needs.
