get the sweetened kind...the unsweetened kind literally tastes like everyone is saying...completely tasteless and what I imagine cat litter tasting... the sweetened kind is 100% better

I bought these for the health benefits. They are crunchy and perfect on my Good&Gather frozen mango, frozen Greek yogurt, unsweetened coconut shreds and frozen banana (yonannas machine) dessert. Perfect :) I’m purchasing more now!

Difference between this and cat litter isn’t far.

When I buy these at Whole Foods it’s fresh. But the bags from Target were discolored and stale.

So many shells, almost broke tooth. Used to be good I’m not sure why they changed.

0% iron. Cacao has iron. Cacao is the highest plant-based source of iron known to man, at a whopping 13.9 mg per 100g

So happy target Carrie's this. Sprouts has a better price at 8oz for $8.99 but on an emergency this will do. The product itself is great not the price. I've had pure cacao before and it is acidic I guess some are toasted longer than others. This one is not too bitter or acidic in taste. Because the cacao seed is roasted and was coursely ground they will be pretty crunchy. Those avoiding hard foods you can either grind your nibs Into a finer product or try blending it with fat of your preference. If you want It in a fine product you may as well just buy the powder form instead. Don't let the Cadmium scare you. We all have cancer cells that are not activated untill the perfect storm comes and we all eat seafood despite its mercury content because the selenium, omega 3s and other detoxing nutrients in the fish/ seafood help flush it out. This is pure cacao full of antioxidants and way kite polyphenol a than berries. Check the studies done and published for yourself! These are good for your as long as your have not more than 4 table spoons on the daily of cacao. With cocoa you can get away with more but not nearly as beneficial. So go on enjoy your casco especially this one which I can still tasted the natural oils as they grinch in they mouth. Mmm so yummy and a bit smoother than another brand I tried that's lower in price but also in quality. Again if you love this just get the 8oz at sprouts.

Bit on a hard piece that got stuck in my upper palate. They taste good, but you really have to chew them carefuly, as they contain some hard pieces (tree bark?).

if you like D.EATH in a bag, then yeah, go for it.

Great chocolate flavor and nice crunch

The bad reviews are from people that don’t know the difference between cacao and cocoa.

Super good added for crunch to oatmeal, yogurt, etc. even the kids love it. They taste like unsweetened chocolate chips. Yes. Unsweetened chocolate tastes like “dirt” so if there is anything sweet and creamy around, it tastes like chocolate chips. Haven’t run into shells. Love the fiber and health benefits. Getting another bag so I can keep one at home and one at work. Usually have it with the whole milk Greek yogurt, chopped fruit, ground chia/flax seeds, and the protein granola. Add honey to taste, but don’t need it if the fruit is well ripened.

Subtle chocolate flavor and great fiber! Add to yogurt or cereal!

Great in smoothies! Its a healtier verson of chocolate chips.
