Terrible story. Basically was no one can love an ugly monster except for another ugly monster. It’s not a love yourself for who you are and others will love you story like advertised.

Sad story with the wrong message

This story is about an ugly monster living in a town of super cute animals who don't love him because he is ugly. He goes on a search for someone to love him, but gives up. At the end, a monster that looks just like him shows up to love him. What a terrible message! Everyone should be loved, regardless of what they look like! I thought the cute animals would learn to love him because of his personality or something, but that didn't happen. We don’t have to look like someone to love them. Nor should we be basing our love or friendship on what someone looks like! The pictures are cute, but I wouldn't give this to any child! I returned it.
