Q: Which type of false eyelashes is easiest to apply for a beginner with no eyelashes?
A: It is very challenging to apply and use lashes without having natural lashes. False lashes depend on your natural lashes to rest on. That being said, here are some suggestions to try. 1. Lash styles to try: a. Naked lashes – soft and natural lashes. The band is very comfortable also. Natural styles to try are 420, 421, 424. Shorter may be a bit better to try at first. These also have good curl which will help with eye appearance. b. Faux Mink lashes – these are also very soft. The band is flat which may be better for use without natural lashes. Suggest trying styles 817 or 815 which have a nice curl. c. Extension FX L curl – these have a flatter band and a curl that flips up at the end. This may also be a good option. 2. Adhesive - Stronger type adhesives will work better generally. a. I would suggest trying Duo Quick Set in Clear. b. If a stronger adhesive is needed Duo Clear (original tube formula) c. If you tend to wear dark liner, especially dark liquid liner, there area also dark adhesive options for both mentioned above that can be tried.

submitted byTarget Beauty Consulting - 3 years agoBrand expertA: I don’t know anything about having no eyelashes but I do know that using strip lashes takes a bit to get the hang of it - if you use regular lash glue. One needs to paint a very thin amount of glue on the strip, wait just long enough for it to get tacky but not too dry - and apply to the bottom edge of your eyelid (where lashes would grow) and press in place and don’t flutter eyelids for a minute (keep eye closed) while it finishes drying. I have difficulty getting it “just dry enough”. Or it’s just dry enough on one edge of the lash and not the other. So it won’t go on or stay on. Sometimes I have no problem. I never know if it will take me 2 minutes to do lashes or 45 mins. Ugh. But there is an alternative that always works in the 2-5 minute range: Liner Glue. It comes in black and clear. Get both. I like every brand I’ve tried. As with any strip lashes you use the eyelash tweezers to hold them up to your eye and make sure you have them oriented correctly (is there a left lash and a right lash?) and that you know where you want to start the placement, and finally are they too long (for someone with wider eyes) in which case you trim the strip. Then you paint a thin strip of liner glue just as you would any other liquid liner (but no cat eye extension). Do this with an eyelash ready because you immediately press a lash onto the line (using the special eyelash tweezers that often come with lashes). I prefer to use black liner glue for this so I can see where the glue is. Wait a minute before fully opening your eye for glue to dry. Dab a little line of dark grey or black eyeshadow on the liner that sticks out from the edge of the strip so the glue doesn’t stick to your upper part of the eyelid when you open your eyes really wide. The clear liner glue comes in handy when you didn’t put the lash on perfectly into the glue or if there is any other reason it’s not staying well. Just (close your eye completely) paint a bit of clear liner glue to secure the lash. As with the first liner/glue - it’s wise to set with powder after a couple minutes so you don’t have sticking when you open your eyes really wide. This holds for me all day (12 hours) when I’m active (ballroom dancing). But keep the clear liner glue nearby just in case. It is soooo much easier to put them on this way!!
