Q: Hi, is this product oil free? On the cetaphil website it says it’s for combination skin and oil free, but this says for dry skin.

A: So I have been trying to figure out the name discrepancy for two weeks now and finally compared the ingredients list on the back of what i have (the old one labeled for "Dry, Extra dry skin") versus this "new" one labeled for combination. If the picture here is indeed what's in this product, it is exactly the same ingredient list as the one I have. Hope that helps.

This is a must have in my daily skincare routine! A close friend of mine is a dermatologist and one of her recommendations is a daily moisturizer with hyaluronic acid- this is the one I have been using for several years now. This is my first layer after cleansing, toner, and vitamin c serum- it goes on easily and absorbs quickly so I can continue with my makeup routine quickly and easily. Tried and true, this one is a staple for me.

I tried to use this till I finished it but I did not like anything about this moisturizer at all. First off it’s super watery, doesn’t hydrate at all so it leaves me looking so dry even after applying a good amount, and lastly my makeup does not stay on well. My skin is combination but mostly oily and even with all this oil I was still looking crusty lol! Will not buy again, I wish I could return it but I threw away the box so I guess it’s a loss cause.

I love using this moisturizer underneath my matte foundation. I have combination skin, and this doesn’t cause me breakouts or skin issues. I am always impressed with Cetaphil. It is great for sensitive skin and doesn’t have a strong scent. The pump is easy to use and hasn’t had issues.

after reading the reviews, this moisturizer sounded like a great option, my skin is really sensitive and some moisturizers often leave my skin very oily. i tried this one after i washed my face with my normal face wash, and went to bed, same when i woke up. after not even 24 hours of use, i noticed the next afternoon my skin was dry. i figured i didn’t put enough on and i tried it again that night. when i woke up the next morning, my skin was VERY dry, cracked, peeling, and VERY sore and sensitive. it’s very red and raised and it hurts even to touch. ill stick to my normal moisturizer and deal with a little bit of oil before i ever put this moisturizer back on my face.

This is my go-to daily moisturizer for under my makeup. Feels good on the skin and my makeup sits well on it. I have sensitive skin so cetaphil products are a staple in my bathroom. Minimal scent so that’s a plus for my sensitive skin, too. Will continue to use this.

This daily moisturizer has helped to add more glow to my skin. I’m confidently going without makeup more. I only wish the formula was a tad thicker and had a scent. But it’s scent free and it glides on well. The coverage is great for wearing makeup if I choose.
