Q: What is the depth of the shelves? And are they adjustable hight wise?
submitted by P - 3 years ago
A: The shelves are held up with pegs. if you want to move the shelves up or down you'll need to drill more holes like I did. The cabinet comes with four extra pegs if you want to get an extra shelf.
submitted byAC - 3 years agoA: Shelves: 6" High x 29.25" Wide x 9.5" Deep; They are adjustable.

Takes forever to build

Does it look like the pictures? Yes but this thing will take you forever to build regardless of how skilled you are. Set aside at least several hours. I was optimistic when I bought this, but now I understand the rating. Thing is such a hassle to build, and here are my issues in order: 1) None of the screws are labeled, so you have to guess on some of them (or count out each individual screw). There’s also an absurd number of screws/nails/etc (148), most of which you will need a manual screwdriver for because of difficult angles. 2) The instructions aren’t clear and are sort of a headache to read. I included a picture below. 3) Structurally, it’s not solid either. I understand the concept of “you get what you pay for” but this is…. too wobbly. Anyway! Yeah, it looks like the pics. I wish the legs were also wood rather than cheap-looking plastic, but oh well. I would return it if I could but I’ve already built it.

I’ve assembled a lot of flat-pack furniture, but this was one of the most difficult I’ve ever done. The directions are unclear and the hardware is insufficiently labeled. The myriad of screws come in plastic packs that have no labeling on them, leaving you to make your best guess. The feet of the unit do not have pre-drilled holes for the screws, meaning you have to measure their placement yourself (this is NOT typical of flatpack furniture). Even fully assembled it is rickety and poorly aligned. My standards are pretty low, and I’m very patient in assembling this sort of thing, and even I think it’s crap. Last but not least, the surfaces came out of the package scratched, and the process of assembly, even on carpet resulted in more scratches.

Love the look but it was very hard to put together. It said to put the back on first and the doors on second. I would suggest flipping that order as the piece was not sturdy without the back and if not lined up correctly the doors would not close. The back is what stabilized the whole item. Not a solidly planned item.
Tricky but do-able and nice when done

I’d read some pretty bad reviews for this shoe shelf- but mine came very well packaged and included all pieces in good condition. As stated, the legs are cheap brown plastic but I spray painted mine gold and it’s better. Also I took time to label the hardware before which helped. Hardest part was figuring out the drawer slides so I’ll include a couple pics of how the pieces fit in place. Overall it took a couple hours to assemble but it’s a piece I’m glad I bought.

Wish I would have read reviews before I ordered. No predrill marks, IKEA furniture would have been easier to build.

The cabinet was very difficult to build there were no notations on the bolts and screws so I had to guess. The legs are plastic and not sturdy and it wobbles. My family and I have hurt our fingers just to open the cabinets. I would not buy again.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. It’s very cheaply made. The directions are a pain, took 3 hours to assemble, then the doors and the drawer don’t align. The plastic pieces that you put in the holes instead of handles wouldn’t even fit. Then returning the item is a big headache. Do not buy this.

Dimensions don’t include the added height of the legs. Legs look cheap and came with a white blotch on the top panel. Decent overall look, but the instructions are awful. I didn’t expect high quality given the price, but I wouldn’t recommend.

For the price, this is a great piece of furniture. Only issue was it took several hours to put together and there were a few holes that were not pre-drilled.

It was perfect for our small entry way. The only problem I have is that it was chipped on the side and the back left top corner. It’s not noticeable unless you look closely so I didn’t return it.

Came with scratches all over the different pieces. Also, walnut is just an adhesive sticker type thing. Very disappointed.

First, I would like to say after a long process of putting this cabinet together, it came out looking really nice in our entry. However, the instructions are not super clear, and some parts do not have holes predrilled. Be prepared to work hard and take your time putting this one together.

Beautiful piece of furniture. Came perfect without a scratch. The instructions weren’t hard to figure out after I laid everything out in order and wrapped my head around it. The hardware could have been labeled - that would have helped. I decided to keep one of the doors off because I liked the way it looked and I didn’t put the feet on. Happy with my purchase!

On the only positive note...it holds 20 pairs of my shoes ( i have small feet). However, the quality of this thing is horrible. If you aren't handy, this product isn't for you. You will definitely need to be creative and have a power drill in order to assemble. Oh, and lots of patience. I have tons of experience putting things together and have actually built a few things from raw wood. This is in no way, shape or form should cost as much as it does. Save yourself the headache.
