Q: whais the difference between sodium floride 0.02 with 0.01 floride ion compared to cetylpyridinium chloride 0.05?

  • A: All current Crest formulations have 0.243 wt/wt % Sodium Fluoride. The differences of wt/vol % listed on the label for the fluoride ion comes from the conversion calculation which takes into account the different densities (the amount of weight of toothpaste per unit volume) of our formulations. We list by wt/vol % for regulatory reasons. Sodium fluoride protects against cavities. CPC helps to fight plaque and gingivitis, and also kills bacteria in the mouth.

Eyes Finally Open!!!

I’m so thankful I finally read these reviews. My husband’s taste buds have changed for the worse for a while now. Neither one of us attributed the change in mouthwash to be the culprit. Ever since he started wearing dentures his taste has been off. We just assumed. Thanks for opening our eyes. We will warn our family & friends.

We have quality and safety checks in place, and you can be please be assured that Pro-Health Rinse does not cause permanent taste alteration. Oral care products containing CPC, an ingredient in Pro-Health Rinse, may cause a temporary aftertaste or temporary change in the taste of food in a small percentage of people. CPC stays in the mouth for long periods of time. What your husband experienced typically goes away shortly after product use is stopped. For now, we ask that he discontinues using the rinse and have him give us a call so we can learn more and help. We can be reached at (800) 285-9139.

Smooth Mouthwash

Leaves me fresh and clean

Mouthwash #1

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using crest pro health complete clean mint for couple weeks. One thing I really like is that it doesn’t have alcohol so your mouth won’t burn like other mouthwash. Another thing I like is that it leaves you with a minty scent and breath. The product is pretty strong so you only need a little bit of it. The packaging is prefect because the lid has like a child lock so children won’t open it.
