    Sterlite 32qt gasket box failure w/hanging files

    I bought 6 of these 32 qt gasket boxes with the intent of finally getting all my records and files stored properly vs boxes with critters etc. ewww. I was extremely disappointed to find that none of the hanging letter file folers fit properly causing them to fall inside as the plastic rail curves inward making the boxes useļess unless I can find out how others are making it work. Can someone please help,? Serioisly frustratred with files

    Good idea, but very poor engineering for the latches, whose tabs break way too easily.

    Perfect fit for me!

    I'm a camper and use the 32 qt. Size. It's perfect keeping everything from paper files to yarn and anything else that needs to store outside in the shed or in the under storage compartment in the camper. Love the gasket seal and they stack better than any other storage containers. Not to mention the size is perfect for a small to carry.

    Warped Channels

    I bought 5 of these 32 Qt gasket containers to contain all my desk files. 3 of the five had warped inner pieces where the hanging files are to be hung. So I had to alternate the sides of hanging file folders. Not a great design. If I ever buy one of these containers I would check closely in the store if the channels were not warped on either side of the container.

    blie closures break easily!

    blue closures break very quickly, waste of money. have bought several of these and all the closures only last a few months before breaking

    Sterilite water/air tight containers

    I bought 7 of these containers about a year ago. 5 of the 7 containers have broken latches. 8 total broken latches. We bought them to store extra food products (flour, sugar, beans, etc.). Do not recommend because if one of the latches breaks the container doesn't seal properly.

    Perfect for campers!! Sealed & Sturdy

    I've had 6 of these for few years. I store decorations and other items in them in the belly of our fifth wheel camper. I love these containers! We've had no problems with any animals getting into them. My husband just ordered more our house. They are hard to find in stores around us.

    The best storage box for file folders

    This is great for storing file folders and other item you don't want damaged by moisture. once it is full, it is still a manageable size to lift and move around, and stores easily on basement shelves.

    Great Air Tight Containers

    I bought these when Pandemic Started and the overall quality of the "Container" and "Not Latches" has held up perfectly. The plastic does scratch easily over time as all plastics do. I have four containers for my closet that I keep my clothes in for easy moving if I ever have to move or evacualte to load a car quickly. My car can hold about six of these in the trunk and another 14 in the backseat of my car making moving a breeze. The fact that they are all the same color is especially nice too. The airtightness keeps moths out of the containers; but I still place cedar blocks in each container. The "Latches" do break at times within the part that holds the latch in place; as one container broke two latches after 2.5 years of which I need 2 Latch Replacements.

    Great Container - Need Latch Replacements at Times

    I had these containers for The Pandemic for easy storage and constant moving. The containers themselves are sturdy and can hold a lot. The a blue airtight ring makes them eye catching which is why I bought them and the four latches. However, latches wear out over time and I need Replacement Latches for my containers as have had two latches break within 3 years and super glue don't really work at fixing in order make a dot to go through latch holes.

    Love these but disappointed in the durability

    I bought 6 of these a few months ago and I absolutely loved them for storage until today when I used them for the first time and 4 of the cover latches broke off in my hand (2 from 1 tote, 1 from a 2nd tote & a 4th from a 3rd tote). As stated above I love them for storage, I liked the snap latches and the gasket around the cover which makes the durability of these totes so disappointing. I really thought they would last me for a fair amount of time.

    Durable?

    Bought package of 4 and 1 was broken in the shipping box on the porch. I needed them, so I didn't have time to return them. I guess I'll have to buy 5 to get 4 that work.

    Warped Plastic

    I bought these, and the plastic was all warped. I couldn't get the latches from staying on, even in a closed position.

    Has a weak link

    It's a decent plastic box and the gasket is a good idea, especially if you're storing something like dog food. Unfortunately, the weak link nullifies that advantage. Less than a year after owning one of these, every single handle broke. The little pegs that hold the handles on are under-designed for active storage. It's pretty obvious the intent for these is to store and leave them sit. We used ours for storing dog food and opened it about every 2 weeks to fill smaller containers. Each handle had about the same resilience because they all broke off within about 2 weeks of each other. So they're consistent, I'll give them that. I suggest that Sterilite take the time to actually test their products in a real-life scenario. That might avoid issues like this.

    Love these

    I buy these items all the time for my bedding covers. I wish I could get more for all my pillows and blankets. I like it because you can see through them and you don’t have to pull everything out.

    Great seal, bad latches

    I bought a pack of four for my paperwork and it works great! Until the receiving holes on the tub for the latches break. Other than that a great durable product that I will buy again if the latches are redesigned.
