    The Staub oval gratin pan, makes simple foods taste great. Love the crispy edges the cast iron produces when used for macaroni and cheese, potato gratin, eggplant parmesan, and creamed spinach. Perfect size for two hefty sides, and makes my husband and I feel like we are dining in a fine restaurant. Love that I can prep dishes the evening before, and simply finish in a preheated oven without having to worry about shattering. Easy clean up, and is also dishwasher safe.

    Crispy!

    I love using these gratin pans. The cast iron is perfect for retaining heat, and achieving a perfectly browned crispy bottom. My casseroles come out some much better in these pans, compared to my old glass ones. My mother in law is a big fan of Staub, and she convinced me to purchase this pan. So glad I did. They really make a considerable difference.

    great gratin

    Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a true gratin pan. The enamel coating inside and out holds up in the oven and under the broiler.I love that I dont need to season it and that it cleans so easily. I use it for my gratins, roasted veggies and great crispy potatoes.

    Great dish for family style sides

    This is a great baking dish for family style sides, like if you were making macaroni and cheese, because it is not an super large size and doesn't take up a lot of room on the table. The cast iron retains heat really well, so that the food stays hot even after being out of the oven for a while.

    Great Oven-to-Table Roaster.

    Tough cast iron oval roaster/serving dish can be used for anything from fajitas to souffles. Enameled inside and out for easier clean up as well. Nice high handles are easy to grab.

    You get what you Pay for!

    It is a Staub! What more can I say which has not already been said. I use this beauty multiple times per day in the toaster oven roasting veggies and reheating leftovers. The challenge is to make the food more of the focus than the vessel.

    These little dishes come in handy for baked dips and small side dishes. They look great on the buffet or on the table and keep your food hot until the last bite! The Staub matte black interior needs no seasoning, never stains and cleans up easily.

    I use this pan for scalloped potatoes and Parker house rolls. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly, also stays hot for hours. The black matte finish on the interior produces a perfect crust to all dishes. The versatility of the pan is amazing, you can even pan sear a steak on the stove top with it.
