  • A: Hi - a spider fitting is that y-shaped metal shape at the top of the lamp shade. Spider fittings are the most common type of fitting for table and floor lamps and are used with harps. The harp attaches to the lamp base, and the spider fitting sits on top of the harp and is often secured with a finial that screws onto the top of the harp.     Looks great illuminated and not!

    Exactly the look I was going for! Really perks up a 1990's looking ceramic lamp. Very nice when illuminated. The provided harp is too tall for my purpose so will buy a shorter harp.

    High Quality Shade

    I am very please with my new linen shade. It is the perfect size for my lamp and has brightened up my room. I love the linen look and the piping around both the bottom and the top of the shade.

    Poor packaging

    Nice shade , but shipped in an unsubstantial carton which was badly dented in transit. A couple of yards of paper padding did nothing to protect the shade which was dented and out of the shape. ( Previously ordered shades came well protected for shipping )

    These lampshades are nice looking and very sturdy. I'm using them with led bulbs, so the light is bright white and very clean looking. They make my 25 year old lamps look like new. Fast shipping and perfect condition. Would definitely recommend them.

    Great shades

    Bought two of these to replace two damaged ones on some table lamps. Worked out perfectly and look great. New harps were included so it's like having two new lamps. Delivery was on time and the packaging was excellent. My first purchase from this company so they now have a new regular customer. Highly recommended.
