Q: When the microwave finishes, the lock icon appears. Holding Stop for 3 seconds displays a dashed symbol, but the door stays locked. I have to unplug it to open the door. Once unplugged, the door opens normally. Is this expected behavior or a defect?

(but I can't figure how or what to check) p21) hold [STOP] 3s ; to toggle keyboard? {missing another line of text} p17) [CLOCK] [CLOCK] 0 9 4 5 [CLOCK] There is no A/PM indicator. [Timer] 9 9 9 9 [START] ; =100:39 =1:40:39 & Limits timer & cook times to less than 1hr 40 min 40sec p22) Mute, ECO, Turntable Index are poorly defined. Hold 5 for 3 sec ; Index toggle Index accuracy of 3 minutes is v.poor: +/- 120deg !

Nice little machine. Does exactly what it is supposed to. People squawk about the child safety lock feature, but ithis feature easy to disable by following the instructions provided. I am dinging it one star though for the ridiculously short power cord. Unless it is going to sit right in front of an electrical outlet, you are looking at $ for a sturdy extension cord.

defective b/c door misaligned

Extremely frustrating lock - good luck getting your food out

Not sure if the microwave works or not but the childproof lock is the most unintuitive I've ever encountered. I spent nearly the first 30 minutes after unboxing and plugging in the microwave attempting to get the door to open. For anyone else having problems, the unlock/lock icons under the stop/clear button is not the unlock button. You need to press 7 then 9 and then hold the unlock button located between the power and timer clock buttons in the menu. Not sure if this microwave works yet but I'm extremely frustrated with the safety lock design...
