You get what you pay for, its cheap for a reason. It works for super, SUPER lightweight curtains. I had to tighten it as tight as it would go, and had to put it up again a few times due to it falling. Its meh, I used it for temporary curtain hanging but i would not recommend it for anything permanent.

Title: Flimsy and not worth $5 This curtain rod is incredibly cheap and flimsy. The construction feels so insubstantial that I wouldn’t consider it worth even $1, much less the $5 Target charges for it. It doesn’t feel sturdy or like something I’d trust to stay securely in place with a curtain hanging from it. There’s inexpensive, and then there’s simply poor value. I’ll be returning this ASAP.

Don’t buy if you are going to extend it to it’s full length, it will sinks in the center.

Absolute garbage. The picture is misleading. It's much smaller and flimsy. I also received a used product that was damaged. Target drive up actually gave me an opened damaged product for my purchase..
