"Holy Grail" of play food!!!
Learning Resources play food is the best option currently available! I LOVE the quality and detail of each item; the food in these baskets is very realistic-looking. We have obtained lots of play food items, and L.R. brand remains my favorite by far.

Mixed bag
I will start by saying I have mixed feelings towards this product. I ordered three different products from LR, and I must say this is not up to my expectations. At least, not all of the pieces. It may be OK by itself, but it pales compared to the other products I received. I like the material these items are made out of. It is thick and flexible, and looks like they will hold up fine to my kids' constant playing. I also like the assortment included in each basket. Some of the foods are wonderful in design, being very lifelike. The baskets themselves are very cute, well sized and seem well constructed. However, there are some pieces that are made out of cheaper looking plastic (for example, the strawberries), and the poor design in others makes them unrecognizable (pancakes are rust-colored flattish disks, the English muffin half looks hideous), and so my kids refuse to play with them. I would have returned them to get the newly redesigned set insteadt, but these were Christmas presents and my kids tore the packaging apart. I would still buy from Learning Resources, as I am pleased with their other products, but would steer towards the pricier, redesigned meal baskets.

Disappointing
I thought this would have more pieces than it did. I am terribly disappointed in how few items I received for [$]. I now realize they do not specify number of pieces or types of toys contained.
