This ice cream play set offers a delightful way for children to engage in imaginative play while learning colors and counting. Many guests appreciate the sturdy construction and the fun factor it brings to playtime. However, some have noted that the cones are smaller than expected, which can lead to frustration for younger children. Overall, it serves as a great tool for both fun and educational activities.

Used to be larger
I had these for my daughter 15 years ago and they were amazing. Wish I had held on to my original set. I just bought for my kindergarteners and the cones and scoops are smaller than they used to be. Very sad. The previous size was perfect!

Misleading
I thought I was ordering based on the picture shown of the “Shape Sorting” cupcakes. What I actually received was the “Color Cones” which are useless. I will be returning, but where are the “Shape Sorting” cupcakes in the pic??

Kids Cannot Use It Independently
Another therapist has this activity and I thought it was a great idea. I should have borrowed theirs before spending money on this. The kids get frustrated not being able to hold the cones by themselves and not being able to get the first scoop on the cone. They quickly move on to something else. It quickly frustrates them and does not hold their attention. Even my patients who love colors and numbers walk away.

I'm happy I bought these!
I run a day care business out of my home and was looking for a set of ice cream play food for the kids to use since they're always pretending the playhouse is an ice cream stand. I ordered 2 sets and have been very happy with them. The kids in my current group range in age from 1 - 6 and they all enjoy playing with the ice cream toys. While the cones are smaller than I expected, I haven't heard a complaint from any of the kids using them. The scoops of ice cream are great props to use when teaching colors, counting skills, etc. The toys seems as though they'll last through years of daily use.

Suggestion for cone size
My three year old son loves the toy but he gets quite frustrated by the short length of the cone. Would suggest making the cones at least an inch longer. It is very frustrating and hard for him to hold the short cone stem and balance the ice cream scoops. The scoops don't fasten on very securely so between the ease with which they topple over and the short cone length, it is challenging. He loves ice cream and so loves the scoops and we have made up some fun games/imaginary play.

Nice for Reward System
I really like these! I use them as a reward system. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because when stacking the ice cream scoops they easily tip over. However, I do not use all the scoops when giving rewards. The most you can stack without it tipping over is between 4 or 5 scoops.

Great product...
The children (my preschoolers) and my grandchildren as well ...love this item. They have oodles of fun playing with it. Stacking and scooping and learning the colours and talking about the flavours as well. Play is a child's work and they play well with this.

Great for learning
Product is great for pretend play. My daughter uses it to work on her counting, colors and sharing skills. The cone bases are made smaller than they used to be so getting the ice cream to stay on the cone is frustrating for her.
