A: We believe you are referring to the ingredient Linolool, found in our Turmeric + C Enlighten Serum. Citronellol and linolool are both naturally occurring compounds found in fragrance ingredients, like essential oils. Neither citronellol nor linolool are considered phototoxic, as they do not absorb UV light in a way that would lead to phototoxic reactions. The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) ­does not classify either citronellol or linalool as phototoxic, but we do voluntarily list them on our labels as some individuals may experience general skin sensitization.

A: While our facial serums are designed for use on the face, we don’t recommend applying them directly to the eyelids.
