Sunlight throughout the Rainy Season
We currently live in a climate where it rains often, and in Oct/Nov all day, every day. The Verilux lamp lights our table where we each sit on one side of it and turn it on for shots of sunlight. It helps maintain our USA-western-high-plains-sunlight-blessed-for-60-years bodies and spirits.

I've had this light for 8+ years! I haven't had an issue with it. I have mine on my vanity and turn it on every morning while I get ready. There are days where I keep it on in the background for HOURS, and I have yet to have problems with any of the bulbs. Living in Maine, I experience SAD every winter in addition to my MDD, so I use this lamp all year! I highly recommend this product!!

exactly what I needed for my desk
This lamp is the perfect size for my work space, I appreciate its verticality. I also like that I can swap out the plate to vary the light intensity, which I plan to do based on the season. I use this lamp year round. It helps keep my energy up during the work day.

Sunshine in the Pacific Northwest
Winter can be dreary in the Pacific Northwest, all winter long. Sure is nice to know I can get my shot of light in the morning and feel better all day. In addition, the medication I take makes me photo sensitive but the Happy Light does.not affect that! Love it!

Verilux has ceased selling bulbs for this lamp!!!!
How can Verilux continue to sell HappyLights that take the CFS26GU24VLX when they no longer sell replacement bulbs for this item? I'm told they are not just "out of stock temporarily." They have no idea at all when or if they will sell these bulbs again. For shame, Verilux. Don't buy this lamp, unless you plan to throw it in the trash when the bulb burns out.

First Time With HappyLight? Buy This One
Just love this lamp. Most of the HappyLight benefits in a low-cost package. This is a FLUORESCENT - not LED - model, and it takes maybe 15 seconds for the bulb to warm up fully. There's no timer, and you can't adjust the color temperature. But who cares -- the quality and intensity of the light are no different than the pricier, slimmer LED models. It's lightweight, sturdy and no less portable than the LED units.

Happy light, happy girl!
I could not wait to get my Happy light & it HAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! I've spent 13 years with undiagnosed fibromyalgia, (finally diagnosed a year ago) post breast cancer/silicone implants. Living with brutal fatigue, pain throughout my body, brain fog, etc. I began taking low dose naltrexone for 10 months for it & have felt huge relief. My happy light takes care of the rest & gives me energy, no fibro pain & can think more clearly. It helps me sleep more soundly. I will not ever be without a happy light...it is a pure blessing in my life!

Can’t get a replacement bulb
I bought the VT10 compact happy light & within a few months the bulb burnt out. Unfortunately the replacements I have ordered don’t fit my compact. It’s a shame as otherwise it’s great!

Positive Effect

CFL Bulb
Love the brightness, but didn't expect that it would be a CFL bulb. I prefer the flat surface HappyLight. Please make this product description more obvious to indicate that it's a CFL bulb.

Very happy with unit and customer service.
I have used this and feel it helps to brighten up the wintertime darkness. In addition, the customer service is responsive and helpful. This particular model may not have replacement bulbs available from the manufacturer, but both the bulb and the unit last a few years.

Mood Enhancing
This is a great item for those who have little to no windows in their room. Working from home it is important that I get enough sunlight to stay motivated and focused, However, my room has one widow that does not receive sunlight.
