A great first game
This is a great introductory game for ages 2 and up. My 2 and 6 year olds both enjoy playing this and both can play without an adult after a couple rounds with an adult to teach the rules and reinforce turn taking. Like the book they are based on, the cards and game bingo boards are set up to get kids talking about colors, simple, everyday items, animals, opposites, shapes, numbers, and emotions. With the bright colorful pictures, there is no reading required, but my reading 6 year old likes to read all the words too and feel even smarter, while still enjoying playing it with a younger non-reading sibling. The pieces are easy to manipulate and have held up pretty well in the 4 years we’ve had it.
