I dropped it from counter height and it landed on kitchen tile and broke. Get a metal one instead.

Pretty but not functional
I love the look of the bin and space saving design for my countertop. However, the lid doesn’t seal at all so smells come out and worse it attracts fruit flies like crazy, even if you dump it regularly. I tried putting a Zevo right over it, but after two months I’m giving up and sending this thing to the thrift store. My previous oxo one never had these problems but was ugly on the counter. I guess I’ll go back to ugly but functional.

It’s a pretty sturdy bin, and can hold a lot of scraps. My biggest issue is that flies could get in via the sides of the lid and I was constantly having them flying around my kitchen.

Handy all round
Had used this for a few weeks now. Not attached to wall but sits neatly on the side. I bought the bags as well. I don’t use for food waste I just don’t have a bin in my kitchen so it’s used for odd bits here and there so I do have to make trips outside. I also purvey the fitted bags.

Great shape. Easy to store. Although it has a vent, that can be closed, after using it for a few weeks I think it would be better and more pleasant to use if it had a filter like my previous JJ food caddy did. This one beats it on shape but not on odour. I usually keep it with filter closed in cupboard but it still can cause unpleasant odour. Maybe from times it is opened. Overall I prefer it due to its shape. But why loose the innovative filter option. The filter replacements weren’t that expensive & lasted some time.

Stylish and neat in cupboard installation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product - well made, modern, clean lines and nice colour. Have mounted it on my cupboard under the sink - couldn’t screw the holder into the door as it is shaker style and too thin so used an Araldite bonding agent which has worked well so far. Really pleased with the way it looks and the place it has taken in the cupboard.
