They fluffed out to the perfect size within an hour after removing them from the shipping box. They are nice and soft which I like. I don't enjoy the firm pillows.

You don't have feathers sticking out, poking you in the face, all over the pillow- which is a deal breaker when it comes to feather pillows as far as I am concerned.
