These are a hit in my third grade classroom! I got it as an add on to a gear set I had that the students loved. They loved the additional pieces.

A great, fun, engaging toy for preschool children! They can't get enough of this toy! So many gears turned into machines, robots, and various weapons!

My grandson loves making all sorts of crazy robots with this toy. He loves it!

Brought this as an additional set to the beginning set for our Grandson to give him more options to explore . Love the little robots.

I would have put 0 stars if it was an option. It was missing the long bendy sticks. Very disappointing, and no where listed to request the items!

Our four year old grandson loves this set of building pieces, especially when his GrandDad participates with him. Great way to encourage creativity, planning and designing a working model.

My granddaughter loves this building set. It's wonderful that this building set also works with the Gears!Gears!Gears! 100 piece building set which we also own. The robots are fun to design and even more fun to watch them bounce and spin around. She loves stickers and loved personalizing her very own robots with them. The pieces are very bold and colorful and even include several purple pieces - her favorite color. I love how she was able to use her imagination to build so many designs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. I am an elementary school teacher that is always looking for educational toys. This toy is great for children who love to build and enjoy figuring out how things work. The packaging was clear and the product looked just like the photograph. I already have the Gears! Gears! Gears! Deluxe building kit and love that those pieces fit with this kit. This kit is great since it has the cranes and robot parts instead of just multi colored gears. The colors of the kit art vibrant and attractive, they are not gender specific. The inclusion of the activity guide is great so that kids can have some building direction if they like. There is no need for instructions as the kit and parts are fairly self explanatory. Recently my school had a STEM night and one station used this kit and the kids absolutely loved interacting with this toy. I would recomend this for parents and teachers. It is a great STEM learning resource for cause and effect and critical thinking.

I love that the stickers allow for customization. My son is very particular about his things and getting to decorate his own toys is awesome for him! Not only is this product fun, but also provides a great way to play learning games. You can identify shapes, colors, times, and even patterns to disguise learning as play! Definitely 10/10, would recommend, and fell in love with.

She actually showed me how to put the gears together. She will play w/it for an hour at a time. My 2 y/o also enjoyed playing w/the gears and trying to put them together. Excellent STEM toy for girls and boys!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried this gear set with kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students. Each age group as been able to independently discover how the pieces work together, create all different types of structures with the gears, and work together to problem solve when they need to make adjustments to their creations. There were cheers and smiles all around when I showed each class the set and let them explore. The students are loving this gear set. The additional pieces of the robots was very engaging to all the age groups listed above. One of the things I like best about this set is that it provides the students a chance to work together and problem solve to improve their creations. I also love that because there are so many different ways the pieces can work together, the students get the opportunity to practice the skills of creating, celebrating when their creation works, and then take apart what they made to try something new. The directions that come with this kit are particularly helpful because of the colorful step by step pictures that guide students through creating the image on the front of the box. I do wish that the product came with more building pieces like the 100 pieces gear sets so that the students could have more opportunity to expand their building ideas.

The vibrant box set the tone to peek their curiosity the moment they saw it. They couldn't dive into it fast enough! I always appreciate when toys are built sturdy and made to last since children are not always the most gentle with their toys but this one certainly stands up to that challenge. I am not sure who had more fun creating, me or the kids. I loved watching my daughter come up with really creative ways to make her robots. It is exciting to watch their little minds work and the pride in their eyes once they have completed their creation. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a child who likes to build, create and work with their hands. Learning Resources is my go to company any time I am looking for a product that is fun as well as educational! They never disappoint!

This is a great Activity Set. Right off the bat, the vibrant colors popped and caught my son's attention. The set is well constructed and durable. It is easy to put together. We didn't try to make the structure pictured on the box, but instead decided to free play and make our own structure. Within 15 minutes we had a complete structure built and all the gears turning. The robot characters and a nice element to the set. In fact, I found my son playing with the robots on their own separate from the gears set. When it was time with cleanup it was helpful that you can use the Box as a storage unit.

My two boys, 2.5 and 4.5 years old really enjoyed this interactive toy. They loved the different ways you could build and engineer the robots. I think my only con would be wishing there were some more pieces included in the set so two children could play at the same time. Otherwise, it was a great set!

The reviewer received a free sample of this product. This adorable robot factory gear set came in a nice sturdy box that will also serve as a great storage case. I built this set with my 4 year old son and while he loves the colorful whimsical robots, he definitely required adult assistance to build the factory! The factory can be built exactly as it appears in the instructions but sometimes it is hard to see exactly how the pieces connect on the instruction sheet. Once you have made it once however, I think it would be easy to build it again and again. My son was great at finding which pieces we needed next and placing on most of the gears while I placed most of the more confusing pieces like the axels which can go on in more that one direction. It was too difficult for my son to figure out the correct direction of the multidirectional pieces on his own. Once the factory was built, he had a lot of fun spinning the two cranks and changing about the robots into different combinations. He thought it was funny to spin the robots on the gears by "their ears" (sideways). He made some pretty dizzy robots. We enjoyed the time we spent building and playing together. It will be fun to watch him try to build a factory of his own design as he becomes more familiar with the gears!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids had fun opening the package and couldn't wait to start playing. It didn't hold their interest for long and the parts didn't connect together as well as I had expected.

The Gears Robot Factory came in a very colorful and sturdy box. When my daughter saw it, she wanted to open it and play with it right away. The box works as a nice storage container for the gears also! My daughter cannot read yet, but she intuitively put some gears together and played. After she played for a while, I could tell she was getting bored with what she created so I used the instructions to build the whole factory. The instructions were easy to understand with the exception of the (2) two horizontal gears and its connectors. I think the connections are a little off, but I could not get its connectors to stay up and snugly connect the horizontal gears. (These horizontal gears were used in sections B and C on the instructions.) After connecting the horizontal gears and turning them a few rounds, it disconnected from the other gears and prevented the other gears from moving. Aside from that, after assembling the rest of the factory with my daughter, she had a lot of fun turning the knobs and making all the gears move in sync (except when the horizontal gears disconnected, but she could easily fix it by adding a little weight to them to put the gears back in place). I had fun assembling the factory with her. It was a nice activity for us to do together. The stickers also brought the factory to life and added more colors to the already-colorful gears robot factory. The instructions offer a variety of ways that the factory can be assembled. Once you have put the factory together once, you have a good idea of all the different possibilities that can be created. This toy definitely allows for creativity and learning. Despite receiving this product from my brother-in-law to test out, I was interested in purchasing it before he gave it to me. Now that I have tested it, I would definitely recommend this toy to a friend and/or give it as a gift to other children!
