A: The interlocking tiles can be used outdoors, but should be brought inside after use and not left outdoors.

Q: Why is a rubber mat recommended for non slip if these tiles are made of foam? Are these coated with a slippery surface?

A: Greetings Christyne, When fully assembled, we do recommend a rubber mat to keep the tiles from moving about, like you would do with an area rug.
