I’ve had this pitcher since December. I’ve changed the filter every single time the light comes on, but today when I went to change it I noticed a green algae like film covering the inside of half of the pitcher. There’s also some growing in the button inside the lid. I refill this thing multiple times per day - a google search says it’s because I keep my pitcher on the counter where it sometimes gets sunlight. Would have been nice to know you can’t store it on the counter if you don’t live in the dark.

The maintenance is easy you just change the filter every six months or when the light turns from yellow to red to let you know it needs changing

It’s the brand that I trust the most for filtering minerals and chlorine in my water for better tasting water. This is a 10 cup water filter which is the perfect size for me. It fits perfectly on the counter and doesn’t take up that much space in my fridge. The design is clever and practical. The filter lasts a few months for a household of 2.

As a couple that live in Pennsylvania we have well water and we never know just how "clean" it is. I'm happy to add this Brita Filtering pitcher to my household. It's extremely easy to put together and watching it filter the water is entertaining. I also like how it comes with a filter light letting you know when it's time to replace them. I know feel more confident drinking water as well as giving cleaner water to my pets and plants. 10/10!!

It fits perfectly in my fridge door, so now I can clear out all my water bottles and have more room in there. I do like that the filters are replaceable every 6 months, and the light kets you know its time to change out.

The water 💧 is so clean and refreshing. I love knowing that the Brita Elite Filter removes 99% of lead and tackles over 30 contaminants. Since I’m double-filtering, I’m hoping this helps the Brita filter last even longer (they already last up to 6 months!). The pitcher is super easy to use with the flip-top lid, and the SmartLight indicator is such a handy reminder for when it’s time to change the filter. The setup was straightforward: I rinsed the pitcher, inserted the filter into the reservoir, and clicked the button beneath the Elite Filter sign on top of the pitcher, and it was ready to filter. I used the first round of filtered water plants and discarded the next rounds, after which the water was ready for drinking It looks good on the countertop and took only about 4 mins to filter the first round and another 4-5 mins for the second. Very easy to dispense, portable right from countertop to refrigerator to dining table. It doesn't spill at all. I like the filter indicator that lights up every time to update on the filter life. As the life of Elite filter is 6 months, changing a filter twice a year is pretty convenient. This filter removes 99% of lead and other containments which makes it perfect for everyday consumption without spending money on filtered water bottles. The only improvement I would suggest is to offer a glass pitcher option instead of the BPA-free plastic one. Otherwise, I highly recommend this product.

It’s super easy to use: you just add water to the pitcher and it immediately starts filtering quickly. Once it's done, the water tastes so much better — fresh and, most importantly, clean. What I also really like is that the Elite filter lasts longer than the regular ones, so I don’t have to replace it as often. It even includes an LED light that tells you when it’s time to change the filter, which is really convenient.
