Disappointed
Rust spots showing on bottom after only using no more than 6 times.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with your BISTRO Stovetop Gooseneck Kettle. This kettle is made of premium stainless steel, so rust should not typically appear. If you’re noticing spots inside the kettle, it may need to be descaled, which can be done using a descaling solution or a mixture of warm water and vinegar. If the spots are on the exterior, they may be scorch marks from heat exposure, especially if used on a gas range. We recommend wiping the exterior and bottom of the kettle before each use (only when cool) and descaling every few weeks, particularly if you have hard water. rusted after 2 weeks
I bought this to replace a no-brand snub nose kettle I had for 5+ years. Two weeks later, rust. Super disappointed in Bodum. I've been using their pour overs, french presses over the years without any problems.

Discolorarion after one use
After one use the bottom had brownish black spots. Tried descaling but still there. Bodum refused to address this quality issue.

Great
This kettle works great, and I love the look of it. We mostly use it for hot chocolate, but I've found many other convenient uses for it. I really like how clean it pours, and how easily I can control the output of liquid. No complaints at all!

Elegant kettle makes for a decadent tea time
I’ve been a long time tea drinker and had another tea kettle that was way too large and clunky. This gooseneck kettle is what I have been missing! It’s very elegant looking and I love that I can use it for both tea and fresh ground coffee. It’s easy to store but pretty enough to leave out. Best part - it’s dishwasher safe.

Sleek Tea Kettle
Cute addition to our stove top! I love the simple, but sleek design. Simple to use and easy to clean. I do wish the handle was a little bit more substantial as the black plastic feels cheap. This would be a great gift to a tea drinker! Looking forward to updating our stovetop with it!

Nice coffee kettle for stovetop. Heats up fairly quickly. Easy instructions to read. Coffee tasted great. Loved making it on the stovetop as opposed to a coffee pot. The color is great too. Love it.
Nice coffee maker. It was easy to use and the coffee tasted great. Instructions were pretty easy to follow and my only suggestion would be to buy one of those little wire brushes to clean the inside. Love it.

Perfect size, well balanced and easy to hold!
First of all, the best thing about this kettle is that it accomplishes its mission--to give you a thin, steady stream of hot water to make your pour-over cup of coffee. Also, it has an attractive design and looks nice on your countertop. The pour is perfect--you can put the water right where you want it, the flow is steady and even, and no drips at all. Plus the design is so cool. Highly, recommend.

This kettle is so nice, I love the sleek neck it pours the water out very nicely and you dont have to tilt it much because the hole is perfectly placed. The kettle is made of good material and very well made. Safe to use on the stove.

Great kettle for brewing up some morning coffee
I have become a bit bougie as of late when it comes to my coffee. I have started experimenting with different types of beans, size of grind, temperatures of water, types of brewers, types of kettles... I found this kettle to be a great addition to my ever growing set. It's gooseneck allows me to slowly and steadily pour the water over my brewer. There was no off putting odor when using it to boil water. It is easy to clean and easy to fill. The lid is tight (secure) but once you get the hang of it, it comes right off. The flat bottom has been great for my gas top so I cannot comment for conduction or glass stove tops. The water keeps hot throughout the brewing for me.

A watched kettle never boils
This kettle is gorgeous, lightweight, and cleans up easily. It can be used on ceramic, induction, gas and all electrical stove tops. It’s recommended to use on medium to high heat for the best results. I have a gas stovetop, used the small/medium sized burner on high heat. I found the actual boiling water process a bit annoying. It took so long for the water to boil that I found myself going over to the stove to see if it was still on. The kettle doesn’t whistle or hum or have a easy way to check to see if the water is boiling, other than taking off the top and peeking in the see if it is. This method obviously isn’t ideal. Neither is getting close to the kettle to see if you can hear the water bubbling. I thought the boil time from the first attempt may have been a fluke, so the next day I tried on my larger burner, on medium heat. I could not put the flame any higher because the flame must not be able to protrude from under the edge of the kettle. It was the same painfully long wait time with no obvious indication that it was ready. If there was a boil indicator or something that showed it was ready I fell it would make all the difference. My kettle also leaked a bit near the lid, when pouring. Most likely I’ll use this for serving instead of boiling water for tea.

Stunning!
I love this water kettle! I clean the outside with a stainless steel cleaner to keep the finger prints away, just a tip if you get this. I love making my morning tea with this stove top kettle! The gooseneck is gorgeous! I’ve used this in my electric stove for about a month now without any problem. The inside also has “fill line” which prevents it from boiling over. Treat yourself to this!

classy style really shiny and sleek. its easy to use and works great. i love that i can keep it on the stove as more of an accent piece because it is pretty and dont have to worry about storing away after use
