The top of the door does not seal properly so heat escapes. This made the top of the oven "burn" and food does not cook evenly. Used this for a year and a half, ended up buying a new oven.

Undecided about this toaster.
I like the roll top door. However a couple things gave disappointed me maybe because I was used to having features on my orher brand toaster oven. The timer only lets you set it up to 30 minutes or "stay on". What's with that?? There is no beep or bell when it reaches preheated temperature. So you have to be mindful of that. I like a notification in case I'm trying to get something else done and not stand there watching it. Nothing tells you it's preheated. That seems important to me. The oven inside is roomy but my rectangular casserole dishes have to be set on a higher rack to fit which brown them on the top before cooking the bottom so it has to be protected with foil on top. That's not necessarily a negative thing but you have to work around it. It's a beautiful toaster oven. it's refined looking and the rolltop is either loved or disliked. If you like using the lid opened down for any reason, you may not like losing that. I was in the habit of storing stainless bakeware on top of my previous toaster oven, obviously can't do that anymore. But I like the roll top even though I lose that option. It bakes evenly for most things. Seems easy to clean. I find the timer quirky and confusing that I cannot set it for longer than 30 minutes and after that the only option is "stay on". So you have to time it yourself beyond 30 minutes. That's my biggest disappointment of this oven. To turn the convection on the dial has to be turned past 15 then set the heating type broil, bake, toast, etc. How odd is that?! It's not hard it's just so weird compared to most convection ovens. So I'm trying to decide if I like it enough to keep it. Good sale price at Target but the oven has me uncertain abour living with it due to the quirks I just don't much care for. All you can do is try it and see if it wins you over.

Nice toaster oven I like that the door goes up my old one the door wood open down all the crumbs would get stuck the window should also stay cleaner. We only used it twice so far but happy with it. I'm actually suprised it didn't come with a pan my other one did I now have to order a new one to fit

My new favorite applicance!
I love this toaster oven! I use it every day for toasting or cooking. It is the perfect size to cook for just 2 people so you don't have to turn on the big oven. Saves time and electricity. Food turns out beautifully. I especially like the roll up oven door---it's a space saver. This is easy to use for any function. I would definitely recommend.

Best Toaster Oven

After wanting one for many years, I finally got one. It is easy to clean out the crumbs from toasting. I like the way the door opens up to the top, easy reach the oven door, it does not make it easy to burn oneself. It is a great safety feature.

Really Like It (2nd One)
We really like this toaster over/air fryer. So much that this was the 2nd one that we purchased. The first one lasted many years and was still working but the air fryer was starting to make noise. We wanted to get the same model while they were still available.

Toaster Oven
It is basically the same Hamilton Beach Roll-Top Toaster Oven that we had previously. Only difference are the shape of the dials. The cord is much shorter, which in our case, is better for us. So far, the only thing we did was toast bread and a bagel. Came out perfect.

This toaster was sent to replace a defective unit. It works perfectly. We also have a Hamilton Beach Food Processor, Crock Pot and Blender. All work perfectly. The Blender is over 50 yr. old and is used all the time. All units are 5 star in our opinion.

Short life - fire hazard
We purchased mainly because it was a 6 slice capacity. We spent a little more hoping it would last a long time. It worked fine until right at the 3 year mark, it malfunctioned. The timer would not go off, so it would continue to cook and burn food. We’d have to not only turn it off but unplug it because sometimes it would not shut off at all. We contacted Hamilton beach and they offered a 10% off coupon code for our next purchase. We will not be buying from this brand again since it was a fire and safety hazard and they don’t stand behind their products.

Very short cord
I had one of these for about 4 years, it still functioned but started looking dingy so I replaced it with the same exact thing (this machine) however This new versions cord is maybe very short, about 6 inches shorter than before. I am very disappointed as this is the best toaster oven I have ever used but now I can’t use it because of the incredibly short cord .

Easy-to-use toaster oven!

Highly recommend.
I wanted a toaster oven that was just a toaster oven and not an air fryer + toaster oven. This is a really good one. The door lifts up so it doesn’t catch all the drips and crumbs from foods being removed. Also, it saves space. With the door up, I can put a plate right in front of it and the hot food goes right onto it. Haven’t used it for toast and don’t intend to unless I need multiple slices done at the same time. The foods I’ve cooked have been hor D’oeuvres, French bread pizza, restaurant leftovers that I wanted crisped, large oversized bagels, etc. all have cooked evenly and perfectly. The timer does one loud DING and doesn’t repeat 19 times to drive you crazy. Highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Easy Reach Toaster Oven with Roll-Top Door is quite a new style of toaster oven. It has a nice roll over top making it look so polished and appealing. This not only looks good but also does the baking, toasting very well. This is very handy to bake substantial amount of goodies,toasting,reheating pizza and I need not crank the standard oven which is way too big for small servings. This is perfect for a family of 4. I have been using this toaster oven every morning and evening ,ever since I received it. I would advise to go through the manual before you start any baking as that will give you a good idea and you will not end up under or over bakes goodies. This is a very good value for money kitchen appliance which will sit on your counter top doing so much cooking.
