Libbey All Purpose Glass Mug Set, 13.5 ounce, Set of 12

The mugs are generous and heavy duty. I purchased a set if 12 and divided them for Christmas gifts. This was an economical purchase that I was pleased with giving.

I decided to return the mugs because they are not microwavable.

What's great: *Lead-free, cadmium-free, arsenic-free (now check all your other dishes and bakeware, especially the vintage & painted stuff, cause you'll be shocked. Google 'Lead-safe Mama' to check your dishes, baby bottles, kids toys, etc). *Very thick glass & has nice smooth, rounded edge to drink out of. I've had these for years & I pour in water at a rolling boil for tea all day, everyday & wash them in the dishwasher with the sanitizing setting with no issues of cracking plus fingers stay cool while drinking even very hot drinks. Many times I've stacked a couple mugs in a stainless steel sink & knocked them over accidently with quite a crash. I thought for sure they were going to be cracked but they were fine, they can take a beating. *These are not made in China. Mine were made in Mexico. What could be improved: The seams are unsightly, it makes them look cheap. A few mugs in the set have a seam that is quite uncomfortable while holding the handle because it digs in & feels like it's slicing your fingers. I wish the seams were smoothed down. * I wish Libbey made this mug in a double size (with the same look & shape, just 2x larger, but not tall & narrow cause those fall over easily). It's difficult to find thick, heavy, well made, & lead-free, double sized tea & coffee mugs. * I wish Libbey made a clear glass insetting lid for brewing herbal tea or just as a storage lid. Just pure glass, no plastic seal. These 'mug & lid' sets are common in Asian countries but their ceramics usually contain high levels of lead, cadmium, & arsenic, which I want to avoid. These are excellent cups and now that I have them I use them for everything. They are a solid construction, but not super heavy to hold. They hold about 10 oz of liquid. I put them in the dishwasher and have not had any problems

I bought these for everyday coffee and tea mugs. I love them! These are thicker glass, so they are great quality and feel sturdy, however they have a nice sleek design. They are the perfect size and the handle curve is easy to hold! Love love LOVE these mugs! Would highly recommend!
