  • A: Hi Megan! Thank you for your question! We understand that using Downy Rinse Out Odor can be a bit confusing without a fabric softener dispenser in your washer. Please note that Downy Fabric Rinse is not meant to be placed in the bleach dispenser. For most machines, it should be added to the fabric softener dispenser. If your washer doesn’t have one, you can add it in the center post agitator for traditional top-loading machines, or you can pour it directly into the drum during the rinse cycle.
