Does not block light

I'm not sure if I got the wrong curtain or the description doesn't match the packaging. But what I received does not block light at all. Even though the packaging says BLACKOUT Letters. You can see from the attached photo that the light from our garage still shines brightly right through the curtains. They are also very shiny, and that is difficult to see in the images advertising on the website.
