Beware of chemical, O-Xylene!
This Figment cutting board is a nice addition to my kitchen island (was a gift ). After removing the outer packaging strips, I was very bothered to read in very small print on the back, that it contains a chemical, O-Xylene. I didn't read all of the comments, but I find it odd that most people who commented don't seem to mention this chemical...Figment, why did you have to ruin a good thing by adding O-Xylene?

Beautiful, solid cutting board. The end-grain acacia is thick, durable, and gentle on knives. So far so good, I gave this to my friend and he was very impressed. He thought I spent a lot of money. It’s heavy duty and may not need stoppers on the bottom for sliding, but slides a little here and there. Could add rubber stoppers or place a slick mat underneath. Good quality for under $40. Not sure how long it will last as a cutting board, but as a cheese/serving board this seems like it would last a very long time. Even as a cutting board, under $40 this is a steal.

I have purchased this cutting board 8 times. I have given it to my kids for Christmas and as bridal shower gifts several times. This year I got it for my brother. It is gorgeous and substantial. Damaged and cracked
I have barely used this cutting board and only hand washed it with warm soap and water but it started getting damaged after only a couple uses. There are cracks and wear. This is more for decor than actual use.

Shocked at how terrible this is! It fades out after a few uses and washes terrible. It’s super scraped up and looks like I’ve had it for ages. Not a real wood cutting board! I bought this on a whim, and definitely regret it.

Careful of reviews from ignorant consumers
I bought this board for my new apartment back in Dec. 7 months later and the board is holding up pretty well. I'll start with the negatives that can be confirmed from the other reviews. 1. Yes, the board can start to give off an odor. This is, if you don't treat it with mineral oil, butcher block conditioner, etc as is recommended for all wooden cutting boards. 2. It doesn't self-heal as one would think it claims to. I use this board a 2-3 times per week on avg. It shows knife marks. For $30 (price when I bought it), I'm not going to complain. Other than that, it's a phenomenal board, ESPECIALLY considering it's a budget cutting board. The way I care for the board is every 5-7 uses I will oil it after I've washed it with soap and water and dried it with a dish towerl and let it sit for 24 hrs before using it again. Once every 3 months (so only twice so far) I will place the board in a non-fragranced garbage bag, place a little bit of oil and coat the surface of it, let it sit in the bag overnight. Take it out and I let it dry for 24 hours. Basically, I care for this board as if it were any other wooden cutting board. The product category has higher maintenance by default. I also have a (larger) plastic cutting board to supplement larger tasks, but I prefer using this for my daily driver as it doesn't mess up my knife blades. 100% of the worn condition photos you've seen in reviews are from people that are lazy or uninformed and simply toss a wooden cutting board into the dishwasher.

Terrible quality
Terrible quality from day one. Nothing about the board is self-healing. It’s almost as if the entire design integrity lays on a very thin surface at the top. It looked like a cat attacked it after the first time I used it and progressively looked worse each time after. Target quality across the board (pun intended) is extremely disappointing.
