Ideal for your home or office workstation, the Tripp Lite® by Eaton® Protect It!® 10-Outlet Surge Protector features a surge protection rating of 2,880 Joules to defend your sensitive electronic components like PC, printer, scanner, router, modem, and other home electronics against dangerous surges, spikes and line noise. Use of this surge protector is recommended for homes, offices, workstations, dorms, and hotel rooms. Your computer and peripherals plug into its 10 NEMA 5-15R outlets that are spaced apart to accept bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets. Safety covers keep dust and debris away from unused outlets. Integrated 15-amp circuit breaker protects all outlets and shuts down connected equipment in case of overload. On/off switch provides 1-touch control over connected equipment. Diagnostic LED bars indicate power and protection status. The 6-ft. AC power cord with right-angle NEMA 5-15P plug allows furniture and equipment to be placed flush against the wall.     Great surge protector.

    Love the 2,880 joules, the automatic shut off, the placement of the outlets and the diagnostic LED bars. All this plus the Tripp-Lite name gives me the security a surge protector should provide.

    I would recommend this Surge protector.

    Well built surge protector with enough room for wider plugs to fit easily. No more having to give up outlets because of big chargers.Better Joule rating than similar outlet strips.

    Good Power Surge Protector

    This definitely does the job, my only reason for knocking one star is the lights. They're super bright and if you're wanting a darker room, this isn't the one for you. But the protection is solid.

    Quality Protection at an Affordable Price

    I have used Tripp Lite surge protectors for several years to protect all of my valuable electronic equipment. I have never had a single issue despite multiple power interruptions and surges. My latest purchase was the 10 outlet, 2880 Joule protector and so far so good. We have already had one power surge and all of my equipment is working fine.

    Love the flat design. It allows multiple bulky plugs to be used simultaneously. While its big since its flat its really easy to store.

    Nice unit with just a couple of small issues

    Overall, this is a good product. I use it behind my night stand to plug in multiple items that I would not want damaged by an electrical surge. I have several suggestions on improvements to the product (hence the 4-stars). One, it would be nice if mounting hardware were included. Two, it would be really helpful if a mounting template were included. And three, the lights on the unit are very bright, to the point where they actually light the room up. Need to tone that down a little. Other than that, the plugs are real nice and tight, and it has a high joule rating, which is what you're looking for. I'd buy it again.

    Great Ten-Outlet Surge Protector, Excellent 330v Clamping

    This surge protector is perfect for my needs. It has ten widely spaced outlets, making it easy to fit various plugs and power bricks, and it has an excellent 330v clamping rating by UL. The voltage clamping rating is a critical spec, and lower is better. I have this surge protector wall-mounted behind my entertainment center, with four power bricks and five plugs. All fit without any issue. The six foot cord is very heavy duty, with a vertical flat plug. Tripp-Lite makes high-quality surge protectors, and this model is highly recommended.

    Own 2 and plan to buy another

    I have bought surge protector power strips in the past, that were so-so quality. I was an electrician in the military, and heard of Tripplite. I bought 2 of these, for 2 computer and electronics systems. It's easy to see the red and green indicators, (power and surge protection) due to the illumination plastic strips. The socket room makes it easy to plug in various types of power adapters and plugs. And last but not least, the reliable surge protection guarantee! Plan to buy another for my vintage stereo system!

    I Only Purchase Tripp-Lite Surge Protectors

    I bought two of these surge protectors in order to protect two nodes for a mesh system. I have purchased Tripp-Lite surge protectors in the past, so the selection of this product was an easy decision. The surge protectors work as expected. I would prefer it if the sockets were not so tight, but this is still a five star product.

    I look to Tripp-Lite to solve my power problems-this does

    I am using it for tv and all its creatures. I needed additional outlets that could handle the various size plugs (some 'wall warts', some standard and others larger than normal). It is working great...although the 'red' light is counterintuitive-I read the manual/instructions so it did not 'freak me out'. Overall very pleased (usually am with Tripp-Lite products, I have several kinds) with my purchase.

    I trust this brand & continually buy it. This item is great because it has a nice number of outlets, it has slides to protect those not in use, & it lights up nicely to ensure it's working. I highly recommend this product.

    Great product, super slim profile - perfect for mounting

    This is a great surge protector for places you want discreet outlets. I have mounted mine on the underside of a side table beside the couch and it is completely out of sight. It would be great if we could turn the LEDs off - they're not visible where I have it mounted, but if your device is sitting in an open area in a living room you don't want it to be shining.
