I have been drinking this tea ever since I was a young girl and we used to go to the Good Earth restaurant in the Clackamas Town Center in Clackamas, Oregon. It was my absolute favorite restaurant, and when it closed I was delighted that I could at least still enjoy my favorite tea of going on 30 years now. I had about 10 bags of the original left in a tea tin I keep in the fridge for freshness.i recently bought a new box and it was so weak in flavor compared to the original. So I bought another box, and same thing. I came here to see if the recipe had changed, and see all the comments from others stating their same experience. I can't express my disappointment....I drink this tea hot and iced all the time ---- it's my favorite. Or at least it was. Harney and Sons has a delicious Hot Cinnamon tea that is similar, but it doesn't have the orange or rose hips. However, it is much more flavorful and spicy than the new Good Earth "original" I loved so much. If the recipe has changed for good, I definitely will stick with the Harney and Sons versus steeping 2-3 of the Good Earth tea bags just to try and capture that spiciness I crave. Heartbroken tea drinker here!!!

I have been drinking this tea for several years on a daily basis. In the last 9-12 months I am guessing, this tea is not the same. My impression is the ingredients have changed as the flavor is bland and has lost that something special. Lost a long time customer unless they bring back the REAL original. I hope they publicly announce that they revert to the old recipe.

Since about 2024, the taste of the sweet and spicy original and Decaf changed considerably. There is no longer the spicy kick, and I have resorted to other brands now.

I have been a daily consumer of this tea (original sweet and spicy) for over 30 years and think it is the best. However, I immediately noticed a distinct change last year, with the tea tasting bitter and weak, and figured out it was on the boxes with the green rectangle expiration date. In the meantime, I was luckily able to find a few stores that had the original tea before this change and I really stocked up, but now all I can find is the tea with the green rectangle on the box. I appreciate the reviewers who have noticed the same issue and seem to have pinpointed it to a change in manufacturing location. I actually sent an email to the company and am hopeful that they return to the original recipe. The original tea was wonderful (five stars) and this change is very disappointing (1 star), and I'm currently looking for an alternative.

Its changed so much. the blend of tea does not even look the same. It taste nasty, like dirty water. wont buy it any more. Been buy it for the last 10 years or more. you lost my business. Instead of deleting reviews, read all of them and fix it why you can.

Classic recipe that is delicious! Only problem is that you have to steep for so long to get it to be good. Also the loose tea version is much better as it brings out the flavor much better.

I like this tea but it now require me to use two bag’s instead one. It seem to my taste you have lessen the strength that it ones had. So now I’m thinking of finding another tea. Using two is not cost effective.

What is going on with the taste of Sweet & Spicy Caffeine Free Organic tea? I am so disappointed with this batch I received from an online source on 2/24/25. The tea is weak and tasteless compared to the previous boxes I have been purchasing for years. The current tea boxes have a green label on top with expiration date of 02/2026 and says it's manufactured in UK. Please bring the prior recipe back.

What has happened to my favorite tea? The formula is different and the new product is poor quality. It no longer has a strong sweet and spicy flavor. Even when brewed for a long time, the tea is weak and tasteless. I ordered two cases and now I'm stuck with tea that isn't worth drinking. So disappointed as I have loved this tea for years and it bears no resemblance to the tea of years past.

Despite there being no sugar in this tea, it has a sweet taste. The flavor is bold, and tastes delicious hot or iced. It has become a favorite in my home. It's a great way to improve my daily water intake.

This was my favorite tea. I thought I got a "defective pack" . It was absolutely tasteless. I bought another pack and found it was the same! I see that I'm not alone in this sentiment. Time to find a different tea.

I have never been a tea drinker but because of my medical problems I gave up coffee. I asked my son’s girlfriend what is best and she said “Good Earth”. I got online and here I am. I actually got “addicted “ (which is something I never dreamed I would). I look forward to it every morning. I tried to stay with the caffeine free but I ran out, you ran out of the caffeine free, BUT my doctor said I did not have to do that so I bought what you had. P.S. I went back to coffee but the tea is my daily go to.
