Laser carved
Yes, this piece is made from real wood and that is possibly the only redeeming quality. But the carving is obviously done by some kind of laser machine - there are very noticeable and distinct lines. I have many authentic wood carved items in my home and in comparison this just looks cheap. This same exact piece is sold on many sites, so it makes sense that it would be laser carved. And although I said that a redeeming quality is that it was made from real wood, and normally I appreciate any imperfections and variations in real materials. But this just looked like bad workmanship, because there were dark warped spots in the wood itself that just detracted overall from the design and the aesthetic.

Beautiful craftsmanship
Beautifully made stronger than I thought it would be… Quite strong. But I wanted to hang it horizontally and you can only hang it vertically so I did return it.
