Tom's fluoride, free toothpaste
Tom’s fluoride free toothpaste has changed their flavor. If you like having artificial sweetener for your toothpaste, then you’ll love it! I wish Tom’s would go back to the regular fresh minty flavor it had before changing to the “new“ flavor. Also, the toothpaste seems more watered down. Now I have to find a new fluoride-free toothpaste.

The peppermint flavor is so strong that it makes my mouth water and toothpaste ends up running down my chin. I liked the spearmint flavor so much more. The texture of the toothpaste seems stringy, too, when adding it to my toothbrush.

I am also a long time user of this toothpaste. The new flavor is bad. Tastes artificial and leaves that bad after taste. I'll suffer through the 2 tubes I just bought, but I will not buy this again! Bring back the old tried and true formula!

The new formula is TERRIBLE. I have been using Tom’s for probably 40 years though many changes in tube and formula and have always loved it. The new formula leaves a terrible aftertaste, is a strange texture, has a bad flavor and makes a ridiculous amount of foam in my mouth. I have unfortunately purchased a four pack and now wasted money. I rarely leave reviews but I couldn’t not say something about this to warn others

The tube says “great new taste.” I strongly disagree, The new taste is awful. I’ve been using this toothpaste since it came on the market. I like peppermint. To call this new flavor peppermint is false advertising. It’s more like spearmint, and I hate spearmint. It tastes like feet. I don’t know who decided to make the change—a bean counter who thought you could save ten cents a tube, a marketing novice who thinks “new and improved” is a good gimmick, an executive who thinks they know better than everyone else—but whomever it is, you should fire them immediately. This will go down as the greatest product update blunder since “New Coke.” As for me, I’m off to find another brand of toothpaste TODAY—a real peppermint toothpaste. This fake one is going in the garbage where it belongs. Decades of brand loyalty down the tubes. Congratulations!

Years of product perfection GONE. BAD new formula.
Been using Tom's for years and recently found that this product has a new formula. Bad taste. Bad texture. Bad consistency that lingers long after and is hard to remove from mouth. We will try another flavor but are done with this product, and nearly done with Tom's. Keep reading the negative reviews. Shame something good had to change.

The new taste or of this toothpaste is absolutely awful and has a definite chemical after taste to it. Been a loyal buyer for years of this toothpaste but now I have to switch to a different brand

Awful new formula
I bought a four pack of these because I used to love the flavor, texture, and the way it foamed. However, the new formula is awful. It does not taste, look, or foam the same. The taste is not really peppermint anymore. I definitely don’t like that it barely foams at all. I have used it for years so it is disappointing to have to switch to something else. The reviews are definitely spot on unfortunately.

Terrible New Formula
Terrible, the new peppermint tastes cheap. I’ve been using this toothpaste for over a decade and will unfortunately have to switch. I realize the sister company Hello has a product that is similar, but just super lame on Tom’s to change the formula.

My husband and I have used Tom's fluoride free toothpaste for years and have loved it. The last tubes we purchased say NEW GREAT TASTE and they are terrible!! So sweet, almost makes me gag. Why did you change the formula? It didn't need adjusting! Now we need to shop for a new toothpaste brand 😭 It sounds like many others agree with the BAD new taste...Tom's, go back to the original, please!

New Taste
New Great Taste, what a lie. Can't stand the new formula. It has a horrible chemical after taste, like I just chewed a mouthfull of mint and splenda packets. The whole point of brushing your teeth is to get the sweet off your teeth, not put more on. It's almost as bad as the time I accidentally mad a tuna sandwich with coleslaw dressing instead of mayonnaise. 🤮 Please I beg of you go back to the original! It's the only toothpaste my family could stand that didn't taste horrible or have chemicals out the wazoo. We've been getting this brand for the last 20+ years don't make me find a different option now.
