Braun Men's Series 8 Electric Razor Shaver with 5-in-1 Smart Care Center and Travel Case - 8567cc

Ever since I started shaving, 50+ years ago, I've always considered it a chore. I never got the hang of using a disposable razor without creating a bloodbath. So, I turned to electric shavers. At the time my shaver of choice was Norelco. I had finally found an acceptable shave that was mostly comfortable and with few bloody nicks. Over the years, I've owned many Norelco models, most recently an i9000. I had tried Braun shavers a couple of times back when the cutting head was separate from the foil. Those shavers actually nicked me a bit more than my Norelco's did so, at the time, I never made the switch. But, recently, Philips redesigned the cutting heads, as they sometimes do; these new heads just do not provide a good shave. A good friend, also a life-long Norelco user, started using a Braun Series 9 a few years ago. It was a gift from his children. He's raved about it to me ever since. Finally, as a result of the Norelco cutter head redesign and at my friend's multiple urgings, I purchased a Norelco Series 8 about a month ago to try it out (I didn't want to spring for a Series 9). Wow. I'll never shave with a Norelco again and every day I'm wondering why I never made the switch sooner (probably due to inertia, and to my earlier experiences with Braun's before they had a head cassette). This Braun Series 8 delivers an extremely close, very comfortable shave like I've never had before. Finally, I no longer consider shaving a chore. Well done, Braun. You've converted me. No doubt, I'll be using Braun shavers for the remainder of my shaving years!

Amazing close to face shaver. Delicate on skin, but just suuuuper loud

I like the shaver…but the cleaner base is not very reliable. Placing the shaver into the base, it is not secure and has no positive “locking” or connection to indicate the shaver is positioned correctly. While the shaver is being cleaned or charged the slightest bump will make the shaver become disconnected and the operation that was active stops.

I have had mine for almost a year now. It provides a decent shave but requires several passes to get a good close shave. My big complaint is that its noisy and much more so then any other electric shaver I have owned. I clean and lubricate head after every shave and yet I feel as though after less then a full year the head is not cutting as well. The cost of replacing head alone is pretty steep especially if it needs replacing already.

Blown away by this shaver. My entire life I've been a wet shave guy, hated electric razors. I Grew out a goatee recently, been using my beard trimer to (poorly) shave the rest, decided to try a proper electric shaver. Unreal! 100% as good as the closest wet shave I've ever had. And so soft and painless! Very Very surprised. If I had known electrics were this good I would have switched years ago. Buy it....really great product. Solid and heavy in your hand...feels like a shaving machine.

So far so good. I get a really close have . I've always owned Panasonic shavers inthe past but this shaver gives mea closer shave Thani can get with the Panasonic.

I received this shaver as a Christmas present last year (2024 ). I was excited when I opened the box and tried it out the following week. However, no instructions were included, making it a bit challenging to figure out how to use it. Additionally, I was disappointed by the loud noise when I turned it on. I am thinking of replacing it and trying a different one.

My old rotary shaver from a different brand bit the dust and, since I'd had trouble finding spare parts for the model I had, I decided it was time to try something new. The new shavers from that other brand don't have an all-in-one clean and charge station like the old ones did and that was an important feature for me. I went to the store and looked at the shavers they had and saw this kit with a shaver (with built-in trimmer!!), a clean and charge base, and a schmancy travel case that tops up the shaver's battery. I wasn't sure how I'd like using a foil shaver vs a rotary shaver, but what could it hurt? I let it charge up and gave it a go on a 5-day beard. After one thorough pass, it had mostly tamed my facial hair. One more pass, adjusting the angle I shaved at, and it had cleaned me up. No trimmer needed! My old shaver never would've managed that! Then I docked it back in the base and hit the clean button. To my surprise, it even blow dried the shaver once the clean cycle was complete! A marked improvement over my old shaver since it'd be damp up to 36 hours after running a clean cycle!

I just opened my new BRAUN Series 8, 8577cc. It has no written directions! Not helpful!

I couldn’t get my face any more smooth if I waxed it. Great product

The braun series 8 gives me a superb shave that lasts for 24 hours. No burned, scraped, skin. No rough patches where the razor failed to cut. Even can cut longer hair much better than any other I have used. The beard trimmer works well around the nose and mouth but it is somewhat awkward to use. Having gotten use to it, I think the series 8 is a 5 star electric razor. I am using the cleaning-lubricating system that came with it. That too is exceptional in performance. All of it works for me.

Excellent shave performance. The big downside is that is very difficult to find genuine Braun replacement head......

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is pretty good, my only gripe with it is that it seems to only cut towards the center of the shaver. The sides / edges don’t really cut that well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun series 8 Electric shaver has been a staple in my daily routine since I have received it. Having its own dock makes it a breeze to use every morning. It shaves nice and clean and is also able to reach awkward spots, so shaving time is reduced compared to before. It is kind of bulky though as it takes up a significant amount of counter space. All in all a good shaver for its price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this from Influenster for my honest opinion. I have never tried this type of trimmer. It works very well. Easy to figure out and gets a very close shave. It is a little expensive but should be worth it since you won’t need to buy razor blades.
