I got this to compare to my Apple Watch. Aka I wanted a longer battery. It did just that but is very basic. Cannot answer calls or texts on the watch. Apple Watch you have so many more options, widgets and apps to add. I think it is worth charging my Apple Watch more than getting this watch.

I'm a former Apple Watch and Fitbit wearer. I moved to Fitbit for longer batter life, and now I'm wishing I had considered Garmin before buying a Fitbit Sense. The Fitbit was ok, but the Vivoactive is so much better! The notifications from apps alone makes it worth it. Factor in battery life and ease of use and the Vivoactive option is the best by far.

I bought this a few weeks ago and have charged it twice. It is the best battery life on a smartwatch I’ve had and the body battery, stress, HR, and calories work really well. I would definitely recommend!

My Vivoactive 4s died while on vacation in the DR. And by died, I mean DIED!! It lost full charge in 2 hours and then was physically hot to the touch. Ordered the Vivoactive 5 to be delivered upon return home and I really like it! The screen is amazing! 4 stars because I have a very small wrist and truly wished there was a smaller version (the main reason why I chose the 4s over the 4) or at least offer smaller bands. But overall, it's a great upgrade.

After putting up with a glitchy fitbit that kept crashing I replaced it with this watch and love it. The GPS connects instantly, maps so much better, and has way more functions. This is really a great watch without spending a fortune. Wish I had switched to this Garmin a long time ago.

I really do love the Garmin- this is my fourth Garmin. Unfortunately, the rechargeable battery and the special charging plug make for a problem. I'm never in the same place as the proprietary charger when it dies, so I walk around with a dead device on my wrist a fair anoint of time. Please - if this is supposed to be a seriously helpful tracker, put the long-lasting nicad back in the next round. Throwing away a tiny batt twice a year is better than having a device that works part time.

I really enjoy having this watch and highly recommend it! I was never into watches before, but since I’ve become more active, walking daily and going to the gym, this has been a great fitness tracker. The battery life is excellent; I don’t even take it off most days. I was debating between this and the Apple Watch, but having to charge a watch every day felt pointless to me. This one tracks calories, steps, and logs all my activities, which helps me stay on track with my fitness goals. It's also lightweight and has a modern design, which I really appreciate.

This watch shows the routes I walk with my dog 2X a day, and the mileage. I try to keep my boy at the maximum amount of walking he can handle without getting sore. The watch does that, that was all I wanted. Well, and to track my heart rate, and it does that too!

I bought this around Christmas time and am just now starting to use it. There are good points and things I am just not 100% sure of. I have a FR245 that has some battery life issues so I decided to use this watch but, when I finish a run all of the laps don't seem to reflect in the Connect app. Also when I finish a run I am finding that the watch wants to be turned off?? I think maybe I am expecting it to work just like the FR watches and it doesn't and it's something that I need to learn, read up on.

My wife got me one for my birthday. I had charged it twice and the second time the metal ring around the charging pins broke. I call and it was replaced with no problems. The one I received in place of has been great and I have had no issues. Very good watch with many functions and abilities for a decent price
