Visa Prepaid GiftCard - $200 + $6 Fee

I purchased two of these gift cards today. When I went to use them this evening I cut the package open and there was no card in the container only a small pieces of paper with the numbers on it. I purchased two of them. They both has small pieces of paper inside with numbers. I returned to targe at 5:49 pm and was told by the cashier they had problems with these gift cards before and she would attempted to revers the transaction. Unfornantually she was unsuccessful. I had the cashier call the manager on duty, once the manager arrived We explain what happened. The manager got the company on the phone to attempt to resolve the issue. You go through a time consumer process and hope and pray it can be resolved, but they did not solve the issue. The gift card rep- advised if I was eligible for a refund I would recieve it in 3-15 days. MY CONCERN IS TARGET HAS HAD 371 COMPLAINTS... 372 WITH My complaint concerning this non-reloadable prepaid gift card over the past 1-2 years. In the mean time the manager had the cashier remove all of this card off of the shelf after discovering their was several others on the shelf. with no cards inside of them. Target is a nationally know company/ brand with a known product linked to fraud/scaming of customer. I would have never thought Target was involved with such activity defraduing customers and knowingly keeping a misrepresented product on the shelf is deceptive. Target should have removed all of the gift cards from the shelves nation wide months ago. This is a very unethical pratice to continue to sale a product with known linkage of fraud, scamming, and Failure to deliver on goods of value. 372 complains should be taken extremly seriously and I beleive the company should take a proactive stance in appologizing to the customers and removing this product and vender from its stores.

No stars if possible. Worked for a little while and no Target is canceling your orders with no explanation at all. Tier 1 support with their promise for escalation and they never contact you back. Bad business practices Target!

You can’t use the money on card. I am sitting here with support hoping to get my money back.

Nothing was on the card. I’m waiting on a replacement card and it’s been over 2 weeks now. Don’t trust it.

Everyone can not get the card number via the link that Target is selling the scam gift card, we should sue the Target to get back the money!

When purchased card was tampered with. The card number at the end were scratched off and the code as well. I tried to just use it and it had a zero balance.

It’s a scam, you need a billing address for the card but it’s impossible to add one on the website dedicated mentioned in the back. I couldn’t use it for what I wanted it which was purchasing products online so I ended up getting my money out by buying physical items in store. Don’t fall for these scam, they should be shut down.

Purchased for mother and did not work when we tried to use at a store that accepts Visa. Denied and called # on back of card. Told us there is an error with the card. Will supposedly mail a new one in 7-10 days. Not a very nice Birthday gift. Should have been able to use that day.

Bought this card for a friend's college grad and they said the security card was scratched off once u=you removed it from teh wrapping. This is ridiculous; does target not check their gift cards to make sure it is not scammed before placing them in stores!!!

Bought the cars right before heading out of town. When I opened it the card it was damaged with half of the numbers scratched off and the CVV number was also scratched off. Had to file a claim online and finally got my replacement card a month later. Hopefully the replacement card works. I would never buy this card again and definitely don’t recommend anyone to buy it.

This is definitely a Scam. Can’t use it anywhere and when you call their line for assistance they state security or user error for the inability to purchase anything. Then when you try Target they tell you they can’t help you because it’s “third party.”

Card Was Sealed but the card was damaged with numbers scratched off as well as the cvv code.

Horrible card , can’t add to Apple Pay and declined everywhere

Both 2 cards and both keep declining. But yet the cards say they are active

Tells you to register the card but also tells you it’s already activated. I haven’t been able to use it ANYWHERE. It tells me my zip code is wrong but also never let me register a zip? CS doesn’t answer… Just lost $200.
