Works, but it can burn
I love the idea of this pot. An easy way to pour water from pasta, no colander needed? Sign me up! And while it does that well, there are some downsides. For me, those permanent holes mean that my water takes longer to boil. The things that you turn and click to hold the lid don't always stay in place. The handles on the po are billed as cool touch, but they actually get quite warm. And the metal handle on the lid gets *extremely* hot - I can't for the life of me understand why it's not covered in silicone or even hard plastic.

My family loves pasta so we eat it all the time! This pot has already gotten so much and still looks like new! It is very high quality and makes wonderful flavorful pasta!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first piece of Gotham Steel I have owned, but it will not be the last. The Gotham Steel 5 qt. Past Pot is a great addition to my kitchen. This is a well-constructed pot that is not heavy or bulky at all. It’s made of lightweight titanium and coated with a non-stick ceramic coating. It cleans up so quickly and easily you’ll wonder why you didn’t get one sooner! The glass top has a built-in strainer for easy draining. The lid even locks into place so you don’t have to hold it on while you are draining, which is very convenient. I did notice that the pasta drains quite slowly and the pot can become difficult to hold if it is quite full. I imagine this pot will last for many years and plan to get a lot of use out of it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pasta pot has a nice finish inside and out. It isn’t too heavy, which makes it easy to handle. I liked how the pasta did not stick to the bottom while cooking. It was easy to strain the pasta with the strainer lid. I really appreciated not having to wash a colander! I did not care for how it came out of the dishwasher - it seemed to still have some starchy marks on the interior and the bottom got slightly discolored. It is so easy to wash that I doubt I would bother with my dishwasher in the future. I have two minor wishes re this pasta pot- that it was slightly larger and that it had some kind of max fill line on it.

It has locking handles which hold the lid in place and allows you to drain the liquid without loosing the solid down the drain. The pot is of a nice quality which is non stick and easy to clean. The draining lid allows you to have the same function but with one less strainer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty looking pot to start with. I made a whole box of spaghetti in it, as I wanted to make sure it fit. I did break the noodles in half, but I do that anytime I cook long pasta. The whole box fit great, and I definitely could have done more. When it was done, I put the top on and easily moved the clips over. It was so easy to strain. Much easier, and I felt safer, than using a separate strainer and less to wash at the end! I will be cooking all my pasta in this from now on.
