Speedo Kids' PFD Life Jacket Vest

My son used this once for less than an hour and has a rash all the way around his neck/chin. It was ill fitting and he is almost 35lbs.

Love it Best option As a pediatrician, i know this is one of the best ways to protect my son

I got this for my 2.5 year old son to use at the lake but it isn’t effective. He weighs about 35 pounds so that is not the issue but he jumped into the lake and went straight to the bottom!!! This does not prevent kids from sinking, 0/10 do not recommend if your child cannot swim at all

The description for this best says it is for a 30-55lb child. My child is 49 pounds so I thought I would get a year or two out of this vest. Just opened it up and while it’s very soft to the touch and cute, printed right inside of the vest it says 30 to 50 pounds. That’s a 5 pound difference on the upper limit. I have to return this and start again.

While it does a good job of keeping kids afloat the straps that go under the legs created rashes and irritation for my child. Obviously if you loosen them it doesn’t keep afloat as well.

Incorrect Weight Listed- I purchased this thinking the weight limit went up to 55 lbs, but was disappointed to find out that the actual item is labeled as only going up to 50 lbs.

Super cute but said it was for up to 55 pounds in the description but only 50 pounds on the jacket so I’ll have to return it.

I like this life jacket. It’s a little pricey but it does a great job supporting our child in the water

I’m very disappointed with this life jacket. After only one use, both of my twins developed painful rashes in multiple areas. They had red, irritated skin in their armpits, on their inner thighs where the straps rubbed, and on the bottom of their cheeks. What’s frustrating is that both of my children fall well within the weight limits specified for this life jacket. The jackets weren’t too big on them, and the straps were adjusted properly—not too tight at all. Despite the correct fit, the material or design still caused severe skin irritation. I expected a product like this to be safe and comfortable for kids, but this was not the case. I would not recommend this life jacket, especially if your children have sensitive skin.

Ordered online. The details and specifications both say 33 to 55 pounds. However, the vest is actually is for 30 to 50 pounds.

The straps that go between legs Caused a rash on inner thighs. Almost like an open wound. Felt so bad for my kiddo.

Super cute, my 18-month-old son loves it! I see what other reviews mean, though, about the crotch straps hurting their daughters. I think this design is great for a boy with swim trunks on but I can see how it could end up hurting a girl with just a little swimsuit on. This works great for us, though, & will be keeping it. ☺️

Unfortunately, the vest caused redness under my daughter’s armpits and chin. She’s petite, so it was not too tight on her. It definitely rubbed against her skin.

My daughter is 47 lbs and was looking for a lifejacket that was up to 55 lbs and last a little longer. The 55 lb and up vests are way too big.. this one online says up to 55 lbs but the jacket I received says up to 50 lbs

If your kid likes to swim alot then this just isn't the vest to pick. After a day spent in the pool the straps ended up causing such a bad rash on the inner thighs that the vest was rendered useless the rest of the vacation.

My children are not able to swim yet but they were able to move around freely. The only complaint I have is that they get a rash on the side of their neck and cheek. The rash goes away within an hour.

Incorrect info regarding specifications. In the description it says this life jacket is for kids 33-55 lbs. Well it arrived and it’s for kids 30-50 lbs. and my kid is 51 lbs. We’ll make it work but it’s disappointing that the info given is not correct.
