Betty Crocker Wicked Mix to Reveal Vanilla Cupcake Kit - 11.4oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a testinf product and really enjoyed it! It was super easy to make, clear instructions, they tasted amazing and the colors are so pretty! My daughter had a blast baking them! Clean up was super easy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for a fun treat for my family who love cupcakes and Wicked. The color revel was a fun touch! The cupcakes are vanilla flavored and seemed to have a more artificial smell and tatse than I'm used too. I do like that it came with a frosting mix also.

The only thing good about these cupcakes is the fun element of revealing the color. For the record, we got green. The cupcake mix itself was quite watery and thin when prepared according to the package instructions. We used a rubber spatula and a pour spout measuring cup for the cupcake batter. We scraped just about every drop and got about 8 cupcakes. The cupcake itself was decent but nothing so special that I would run out and buy another box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BC Wicked Reveal Cupcake Kit was awesome. When I added the ingredients it revealed one of my favorite colors, pink. The icing was easy to mix and it came out thick. The cupcakes came out moist and delicious.

The surprise aspect was fun! The cupcake wrappers were folded in the box and were flimsy, so I used my own. The frosting was light and fluffy. The flavor was OK. You can't expect a whole lot from a box, but I enjoyed baking them with my daughter.

Tastes like I made it with an easy bake oven. Frosting is weird. Daughter had fun though and color reveal was neat.

Where can I find the frosting mix? Cupcake is decent but the frosting... it is the star. If this isn't a stand alone product it should be! I do love the whole kit, that it came with paper cupcake holder/wrapper was a bonus. Makes just the right amount, unlike a cake mix. If I can find another I will buy just for the frosting mix.

Get any other box mix instead of this. If you insist on this product, or if you've already purchased... 1. Aim for 9-10 cupcakes, not 12. There isn't enough batter provided for 12 cupcakes. 9 is probably ideal if you can. 2. Pitch the "frosting mix" right into the trash, as it is not worth the one cup of milk it requires. It's actually insanely bad. Just use a homemade frosting, or pick up the standard Betty Crocker vanilla one in the plastic jar. Why they didn't include their classic frosting over whatever powder mix garbage is beyond me. If you have nothing else but this frosting mix, definitely add a teaspoon of vanilla and powdered sugar to taste. Otherwise, this isn't gonna work. The biggest complaints about this product are regarding the sweetness of both the cake and frosting. The cake will be a decent sweetness if you use another frosting. The frosting that comes with this ends up being a weird whipped cream-wannabe product that is not sweet. It just isn't. It's not something you want on a cupcake.

Great tasting cupcakes but we made our own buttercream icing. Didn’t like texture of whipped cream mix included.

The box came with everything you need; liners, cake mix, and frosting mix. The cake batter was noticeably lighter and more runny than other Betty Crocker mixes, and I was only able to get 9 cupcakes out of it instead of the usual 12. The concept is fun and the kids enjoyed the experience, but personally I wasn’t impressed with the taste. The flavor reminded me more of an artificial pancake mix, which was disappointing since I usually enjoy their other cake mixes. The frosting texture was also a bit gritty, even after stirring longer than recommended. Overall, I think this one needs some tweaks in production — definitely a miss for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to make! Loved the color changing mystery mix. It was fun to see what you’re going to get. Easy ingredients to add that you may already have on hand. Not sure what the flavor maybe a subtle strawberry? but the icing is good. Value of the item was a good price. I do like how they had the icing mix with it and you just had to add milk. Fast and easy cake mix. Only thing for me was I didn’t have a hand blender so I had to hand whisk the topping haha was a good workout though.
