Q: In the description, it says the lamp is compatible with smart bulbs, but in the specifications, it has a warning to not put dimmable bulbs. What does this mean?

  • A: Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! The warning about dimmable bulbs means that the lamp itself doesn’t have the ability to dim bulbs on its own. However, you can use a smart bulb that has built-in dimming capabilities. In that case, any dimming would be controlled through the smart bulb itself and the devices or apps you use at home, not through the lamp.

Great reading lamp

This is exactly what I wanted: an attractive reading lamp to sit at one end of my couch. It’s not an ugly task lamp yet it gives great task-lamp quality light that I can aim right on my book and away from my eyes. Bright Tech comes through again!

Impressed with quality for price

Very nice lamp, would recommend. Looks very attractive, bright. A bit tall for a reading lamp if sitting on a sofa or living room chair. Drawbacks are it does not dim and the on/off switch is a clear plastic button in the middle of the cord, which can't be shortened or spiraled to hide under the base, but I would not expect those features for the price point. Happy with my purchase!

Very happy with this lamp

Overall this lamp is great, very easy to assemble and the small footprint was perfect for my space. I ended up swapping out the included LED bulb for something softer which made a big difference in ambiance for me. I just wish the packaging didn’t include styrofoam.

The tilting mechanism doesn’t stay where you want it to at times and drops a little but I don’t mind it for this price. Love the look!
