A: Just got these and tested this out. When using my iPhone and putting the volume at 75% or higher, others around you can hear what you are listening to very clearly. If volume is around 30-50% you can hear it but not as clearly or as loud.

A: It's touch sensitive but not a real button that clicks. It's honestly a little bit finicky. You can change what the touch controls do in the mobile app.

A single tap on the left earbud lowers the volume, while a single tap on the right earbud raises volume, for example. You can also fully customize what the taps perform by pairing them with the JLab app! Hope that helps.
