BLACK+DECKER Light 'N Easy Compact Steam Iron, IR1010

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My older iron went pretty much dead. It was also a heavy one that I was not too fond of. This iron is light weight and does not hurt my hands after doing a good load of clothes that need to be ironed. The steam does come out easily and loading the water is easy too. I do like that the water container is on the front so it is easier to see how much water there is left unlike my older model that had it below my hand and you never truly knew how much was in it until you propped it upright. Overall, I am impressed with this iron. It has help up for two years now with iron sessions happening just about every week.

I use it several times a month to iron military uniforms and it gives me the best clean lines of any comparable product. I travel a lot and it is so light to carry with me that I ditched my travel iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so I’ve thrown all I have at this Iron. Started out with iron in letters to make family stockings, and hubbys dress shirts, and my dresses. Then to make things a little more interesting I used it on my silk pajamas and it worked like a charm!

Just removing it from the box let me see how light it actually was. I wanted to test the steam function out and I was very happy. This iron gives off a good amount of steam which makes it even easier to iron clothes. Another feature I really like is that it has an auto shut off. I don't have to worry if I get side-tracked while ironing; I just know that the iron will turn itself off. Overall, I really like this iron. It's lightweight, easy to use and I would definitely recommend it to others.

i have had this iron for about 6 months and it has started to "tick" when i first turn it on. it never did that when i first purchased. also the light no longer lights up and it drips water non stop.

The light keeps shutting on and off every five seconds. Not sure if I supposed to happen but it’s annoying. But it is very late and convenient to you.

I didn't like this iron was that I had to make multiple passes over areas of clothes to get the wrinkles out. It also would try to heat up constantly; don't know if it just didn't keep the heat all the time.

As a busy mom I don't have time to waste trying to use the iron but this heats up quickly so I can get my ironing done. Leaving my clothes nice and wrinkle free.

My favorite thing about this iron is the 3 way auto shut off just in case I forget to shut it off. It has the perfect amount of steam if you use steam when doing laundry.The spray mist goes on evenly and you can easily see the water level. The cord has an easy clip on feature on the heel of the iron and it comes in a gorgeous butter yellow color.It has settings for all of your fabrics, even your delicates can be ironed with it. Love this light weight easy to use iron.

When I put the water in the steam no linking was there with is a plus for me. I like how light it is at hand to complete the task of ironing the clothes.I will recommended this product to my friends and other family member.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't use an iron often, but when I do, I have to iron multiple pieces. It's not fun having to hang up a shirt to dry because the iron spit water all over a dress shirt. My last iron did more water dripping than ironing. It heats up within a reasonable time and seems to be pretty true to temperature(no worrying about it being too hot or nother hot enough!) The iron is slightly more lightweight than other irons i've used. It's only a slight difference but still noticeable. The only thing I didn't like is the way it looks, it reminds me of my grandmothers old iron. I'm definitely going to continue to use this for as long as possible.

While it worked great for the first 3-4 weeks the coating began to peel/come off around the edges. This makes it a bit difficult to glide across the item you are ironing and has become a burn concern. Overall an easy to use iron but I don't believe it's for those who iron on a daily basis or often. This might be better suited for those who iron occasionally or for special projects.
