Description
The Happy Ride Collapsible Travel Crate will give your dog a comfy place to ride where he'll be safely contained, not restrained. This travel crate is spacious without taking up the entire back seat. It fills up only one seat, so you'll still have room for passengers. This roomy crate has a large mesh front and sides that let your dog see everyone inside the car and help keep him from getting too hot or cold. It also gives your dog visibility to look out the car window and lets you easily peek into the back seat to check on him. Inside the dog travel crate is a pad with a removable waterproof fleece cover that’s also machine washable. The outer shell of the collapsible crate can also be removed and tossed in the washing machine after extra messy adventures. You won't have to worry about the travel crate moving when your pet does. Loop the headrest strap over the front seat's headrest and pass the seatbelt through slits on the back of the crate to keep it in place. A layer of fabric hides the seatbelt from your pet, so they won't be tempted to use the seatbelt as a chew toy on a long drive. This car crate has 2 doors that fully unzip to help you easily get your pet in and out of the car, whether the crate is behind the driver's seat or the passenger's seat. The crate also has 2 storage pockets with a hook and loop closure to keep your dog’s leash, poop bags and treats packed and tidy while on the road. There are 2 drawstring openings, one on each side of the travel crate, so you can reach in to give your dog an extra pet or treat without unzipping the door. Good crate, could be better
The crate is excellent quality and very structurally safe. I am using this in my trunk which i know is not the intended use, but it works. I would love it if there were mounting rings on the bottom of the crate for this, i am wrapping harnesses around the frame and tying it down to my trunk tie-down rings. The zipper is very sticky, but seems safe.

It is a beautifully constructed travel crate. It, however was too tall for my backseat. If it had fit I would certainly have kept it.

Safe pet carried
I was looking for a new carrier for my small dog for in the car. This was a lot larger than what I was wanting, but my pup really enjoys it. She has plenty of room in there and goes to sleep once I put her in it on long trips.

Need help to make it fit.
I do love this for my pups but the measurement from front to back is 27 inches too much, I need 23 inches for my bike, the 27 inches will not fit.

Love the travel pod but my JRT decided to redesign it with in five minutes! Chewed the pouch opening to make a window for herself! I just hope she doesn’t make it worse so she can climb out! Other than that I love it I bought two the other JRT was fine!

Not basenji-proof
I would not call my 2-year-old basenji "destructive" but the breed are known to be escape-artists. It only took her 4 short car rides to find the vulnerability in this travel crate: the drawstring openings on the sides. Just a couple good tugs on that material and the fabric tore right out leaving a gaping hole. Once her head was through, it was a wrap. I think if not for those drawstring openings this might have actually worked for me. I really liked how secure it was in my back seat (other travel crates slid and rolled around when turning in my vehicle). And the build quality seemed pretty good, including the mesh screen, which survived many scratch-attacks by my annoyed basenji. Long story short: If your dog doesn't mind riding in a crate in the car, this will probably work out great for you.

Nice travel crate
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this travel crate for my dog and she wasn’t very fond with it. She’s used to being able to go anywhere in the car. I like it because it kept her in one place. The only problem I had with it was that it was a little heavy. I just keep it in the car so I don’t have to carry it a lot.

Convenient safety for my pet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of those items I didn't know I needed until I tried it. I always want to keep my dog safe in the car and nothing else would keep her still. She struggled with belts and harnesses but now I know she's contained in the travel crate and the crate is safely buckled in the vehicle. It is collapsible so it is easy to store and machine washable.

Easy to use travel crate
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This crate is great for my medium sized dog when on the road. Used it a few times for slightly longer trips and while my dog does not love to be in it (he would rather be on our laps), I know that it is the safer option and he eventually settles down and rests for the drive. Feels durable, love the petting hand holes on the sides, and the cushioned base. We did have it turned when we first opened it up and couldn't figure out why the bottom pad would not fit but eventually figured it out. Breaks down fairly easily (you do have to put some muscle in it) and I would say this would fit in almost every car/trunk for storage.

Heavy Duty & Collapsible!

It provides a safe space for your pet if they tend to get a little excited while in the vehicle. Each side has a small hand hole so you can console/pet your animal or provide treats for rewarding good behavior. It locks into place really well and has all the straps to secure it into your vehicle within minutes.

Great cat carrier

We had an old, rectangular plastic cat carrier...awkward to lift and carry to the car. This is so much easier to lift and carry. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a cat carrier.

The frame mechanisms moved smoothly and felt secure, and the separate floor piece was lightweight but firm, adding more stability overall. I also like how the back has a "false wall" which allows you to hide the seatbelt while also ensuring you can secure the seatbelt around the back frame, making it more secure during travel. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this carrier. Awesome carrier. Safe traveling for my Chihuahua. Easy access. Fits perfectly between the seats of a normal sized vehicle. Large enough for a small and medium sized dog. I would recommend this item.

Problem solved

Like others we tried the seatbelt attachment, the open seat etc but nothing we found would get her to just relax and lay down while we’re driving- until we tried this. This crate sets i very easily and lets her see and smell us while also feeling safe and secure. She loves it, and so do we!

It will fit them both fairly comfortably but is definitely at it's limit for space with two midsize dogs. The netting seemed a little flimsy at first but it has held up well. The frame and material is lightweight but sturdy and has held up well. It's easy to get in and out of the vehicle. The zippers are heavy and work smoothly. The netting allows a wide field of vision for the pet and lots of airflow. I really liked the the access hole that allows you to reach inside the crate without unzipping it. Really good product!

It’s very easy to set up and folds back for easy storage. Nice side pockets for dogs snacks or toys. You can fit one large or two smaller dogs in the travel crate. My dogs seemed to be enjoying rides in the crate. Comfortable and mesh material makes it safe for pets to breathe and see all around them. Traveling with my pets now feels more safe . Highly recommended!

Best Collapsible Traveling Crate

It can fit a couple of smaaler dogs, a medium-sized dog or larger, and keep them contained and traveling safe. It is the perfect traveling crate since it can be straped down in place, unlike other crates, plus it protects my leather seats.

Great concept for traveling with your pet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Happy Ride Collapsible Travel Crate is very well made. It pops open and assembles in just seconds. I like that the pad is soft for your pup and removable so it can be washed. There are openings in the side that allow you to reach in to comfort your dog or pass them a well deserved treat. It secures easily to the seat and leaves room for a passenger next to the crate. It will work best for a small to medium dog. My 55 pound dog is a bit cramped but it would depend on the build of your dog whether it would suit them. This is really a great concept for traveling with a dog that tends to jump around while in the car. This crate will definitely keep your dog safe and secure while on road trips.
