Toxic taste and smell - Cuisinart should be ashamed
I was trying to avoid all the chemicals and toxic surfaces , but this one is Cuisinart's marketing lie, and I suspect all 5 star reviews are bought, because this is - NOT stainless steel inside surface that touches the food/waffles, stainless steel is only for decoration on the top; and the quality of surface inside not to be trusted, says "proprietary" "ceramic" but feels very cheap plastic; toxic smell and taste, burns waffles on any setting, impossible to clean - not removable plates; just piece of junk!

Solid waffle maker!
We upgraded to this from a much older waffle maker, and I've been pleasantly surprised. Simple, and a nice balance of crispy and fluffy. I appreciated it was made without PFAS nonstick too.

Great compact waffle maker. Very quick! Heats up in 2-4 minutes depending on setting, then each waffle takes only about 2 minutes. Very nonstick, baked the waffles well. Deducted 1 star because on max (5) it still doesn't get very dark or crispy, but they are sufficiently baked. And a Great value.

Simple Excellent Waffle Maker
The waffle maker has a simple attractive design that is easy to clean and store. I seasoned the non-stick surface with vegetable oil before the initial use. There has been absolutely no sticking of the many waffles I have made, It heats up and re-heats quickly when using and the variable time feature is quite handy for varying the darkness of the waffles. Having separate red and green lights makes it easy to know when the batter should be poured in and when the waffle is ready. The recipes included in the instruction manual are simple and delicious. Finally, the price is very reasonable, especially when compared to other more fancy models.

Wanted a waffle maker for quite a long time. Husband bought it as a surprise. It is easy to use. I love that I can adjust the darkness. I do recommend putting a baking sheet underneath to keep messes controlled. Very happy with my waffle Maker! Sundays will never be the same!

Less Expensive But Plan on Careful Attention
Certainly more affordable than others but the heat control, side to side lever seems inaccurate and waffle itself splits across the middle leaving 1/2 on top and rest on bottom, even though green light indicates waffle is done.

We love waffles so much! We were really excited to use this, unfortunately, the maker we got smelled so bad. All of our waffles smelled and tasted like burned plastic. This was after cleaning and prepping the maker per instructions. So sad to leave a bad review.

Great product
I love the size which is fairly compact. It heats up quickly and there are various settings for how you want your waffles done. The greatest thing is that it stands up for storage which is a space saver.
