Great for 9 year old
I bought this for my 9 year old boy. He's mad about planes at the moment. It's an expensive set but it kept us occupied on and off for over a week. He loves it, and we've now mounted it on his bedroom wall and it looks brilliant. We had a scary moment when he dropped it and it exploded, but had some good bonding time repairing it 🤗

Fun to build and a nice display set!
I have the Concorde and was hesitant about buying another airplane model that would live up to the same fun experience I had with the Concorde. This definitely did! The details are pretty cool and it brought my family great memories from when they saw this shuttle transport live! It's a fun set, def recommended!

Fun build
Good build. Would have like to see some better ways to make landing gear sync better but that’s my only complaint

Nice size
If your into space and planes, this is for you. It's twp models in one which can be displayed together or separately.

Poor building experience
This set is of comically poor design. It’s incredibly fragile, even when fully assembled, and constantly fell apart throughout the build process. Worst of all, the stand barely holds up the model. I’m a little worried to put it on display since I think it’ll slip off the stand at some point if someone looks at it the wrong way. Overall, I can’t recommend this set at all. There are much aviation themed sets that are of much better quality, like the Concorde or Space Shuttle (non transporter) to get instead.

Good build, fragile
This is a nicely crafted build, it looks good finished. Some nice features how the components go inside the shuttle cargo bay. I little delicate to build in places. All in all not quite as good as the concorde

I am with almost everyone on this
lets get the bad out right away : yeah it doesn't look the best for the price. Specially the 747 nose. There was also some weird design choice, like the engine when set from 40y ago had those done well - I know I have some and am considering swipping them) Now lets be honest, its a cost compromise. If you wanted those to look as good as the Discovery orbiter, well that set would have cost more than the DeathStar and be bigger than the Titanic. When considering those sacrifice this is an impressive set. Its a great build, with lots of small feature in there . I did not expect the retractable landing gear of the Boeing, nor that could could store the Shuttle ones. I was expecting them to lay around in a box. So thanks to the designer. And man did I had fun building this. The 747 wing where a bit of a pain , but otherwise this was pure fun and nostalgia from the 80.

Overall good set, but it has some major flaws
Although the SCA is a really good set and had been fun to build, but it is quite a flimsy set upon construction. The first and most major flaw is the fact that the stand on which it is displayed is not stable or balanced well. Comparing it to a really similar set - the Concorde, set 10318, the stand in the Concorde is integrated into the set, providing stable support and good balance, meanwhile the stand in the SCA is not integrated into the set, which means that the plane can easily fall off if the place where it is displayed is slightly shook. The set when displayed on the stand has a tendency to tip forward easily, which means that it is dangerous to display the SCA on a shelf. The set can also not be displayed on the stand with the landing gear down. The second flaw is the abundance of pieces that can easily fall off of the plane while moving it. Yet again comparing to the Concorde, the Concorde had a lot more of its major connections connected with bricks, while a lot of the SCA’s connections, most notably the tail and wings use clip pieces as connection points. The set also has a lot of pieces that tend to fall off easily, like the engines. It also has an ugly crack in the connection between the fuselage and wings, which is really visible and makes the set look worse.

Don't get it.
The nose does not look good. Details like some windows are missing. Even though these are problems I'd still get it however. The build process is the problem. You start with paper bags which takes about twice as long to open cus you have to stick your face inside them to see if you forgot any parts. Already this makes the building process worse. Then we have the stickers, the reason I'm writing this review. Most of these things should be printed for the price. The see through stickers are a pain and one of them have my fingerprints on them that I can't get rid of. 18+ set with the pricetag to match yet I have to fix the stickers? Its more worth it to buy a retired set like the Space Shuttle Discovery than this thing.

Horrible quality control
Lego has really dropped the bag on this set. In the first 8 bags I found 11 missing parts and the sticker page had stickers missing.

Ok
Awesome build ! Incredible detail while keeping the Lego theme. HOWEVER, know that the stand is going to struggle to support it. Mine would not. Simple fix. Super glue. Works perfectly.

Fun to build! Great to display! A+++
When this set first released, I knew I had to buy it. I’ve always loved Lego airplanes and rockets. This is a 2-for-1. The two ships have great detailing for their small size. The two ships look great separated or combined. There are a decent number of stickers that need to be applied. The ships are symmetrical so there is some repetition. You do have to move around pieces to combine or separate the ships. Overall, this set is definitely recommended to any aircraft lover.
