The Car Jar® Ultimate is designed for subtle, steady fragrance release in smaller enclosed spaces like a vehicle, rather than a strong, room-filling scent. Because of that, the fragrance can sometimes feel very light, especially at first, in larger vehicles, or if airflow is high (for example, with frequent ventilation or windows open). It can also take a short period after opening to fully activate and begin releasing scent consistently. Pink Sands™ itself is a more nuanced blend of bright citrus, soft florals, and vanilla, so if environmental factors reduce diffusion, the fragrance may become harder to detect than expected. That said, it should still provide a noticeable background scent, and we’re sorry to hear that hasn’t been your experience. First, regarding opening the Car Jar® Ultimate: the fragrance insert is housed inside a protective plastic case designed to control scent release and help prevent spills. To open it, gently pull apart the two plastic halves at the seam along the side; they should separate with firm but careful pressure. If it feels unusually tight or stuck, that’s certainly not the experience we want you to have. As for the scent, Pink Sands™ is blended with bright citrus, sweet florals, and warm vanilla notes for a tropical escape on the go. Car fragrances are formulated to release gradually in smaller spaces, and scent strength can vary depending on temperature and airflow. Warmer conditions typically help activate the fragrance, while cooler weather may make it seem lighter at first.
