A: When used as directed, your Dawn EZ-Squeeze style bottle will not leak. Keep the bottle standing on its head, and never flip it. Flipping increases the pressure inside the bottle, and pressure leads to leaks. Just pick the bottle up, squeeze it directly for cleaning, and put it back down on its head. If pressure does build up, flip the bottle, so the cap faces upwards, unscrew it, put the top back on, flip it nozzle down, and give the bottle a big 2 second squeeze. Keep it in this position, and pressure should not be an issue.

It's ridiculous that all the new scents Dawn comes in smells awful!!! Like some nasty old stinky perfume and that smell stays on the dishes. Would love to get the Orginal scent back. I've been trying other brands and haven't found one that cleans as good as Dawn but they don't stink. I'll find the right new dish soap but I'm not going back to Dawn.

Blue Dawn has always been unbeatable when it comes to cleaning literally anything. Except..the original scent used to make me feel sick bc I am easily nauseous so I had stopped using it. I bought this one day and thought, what is that absolutely WONDERFUL smell?!?! Then, I realized that ya'll had finally fixed the strong original scent to be heavenly. Now it is so good, I cannot believe it. Very few scents that I love, but you hit the target on this! Now, DAWN is EVen BETTER THAN EVER~ Thank you!!!

I recently bought a refill of Dawn Ultra and was unpleasantly surprised to learn it has a new smell which is perfumy and off-putting. I would not have bought it had I known it is perfumed now, which isn’t marked anywhere on the bottle as far as I can tell (nor even that the scent has changed). I’ve bought Dawn Ultra for a long time because of its cleaning power and unobtrusive smell, but given the scent change I don’t think I can use it anymore.

The price is easy to buy. Cost-effective because it washes well. Contains methylisothiazolinone and benzoisothiazolinone. It seems that these ingredients are not easily degraded in the environment and may have a negative impact on the ecosystem. The packaging is good with cute animals! It helps to get rid of grease stains quickly. The smell is nice and refreshing, and I can wash my hands without any roughness!

Used to be five stars, but they changed the scent and defeated the purpose of getting plain dish soap. They need to take the ducky off of the marketing if they're going to have fragrance like this animals do not like strong scents.

The new Dawn Ultra smell belongs in the shower not over the kitchen sink. It smells like overly perfumed hair conditioner and this smell remains in plastic water bottles. I will soak the water bottle in diluted vinegar per your suggestion. Please bring back the old original scent or switch to a light orange aroma. I can't find Dawn orange scent or unscented in my local store and they hiked up the price of Dawn Platinum. I will not buy Ultra again.

Dawn dish detergent is always my go-to soap! I’ve never found another brand that cuts through tough stains and grease quite as easily as this one. The price may deter you at first, especially in comparison to some cheaper alternatives, but trust me - it’s worth every penny! And a little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts for much longer than you might think. It leaves behind a pleasant and clean aroma on every piece of silverware and dishware. Dawn also doesn’t dry out your skin either!

I have used Dawn original for over 30 years. I do not like the new fragrance! We had to throw our rolls out because they tasted like perfume. The taste was coming from your new fragrance on our cooking tray. I will not buy Dawn anymore.

I just received a new bottle of dawn not thinking anything started to use it wondering if someone had sprayed a strong febreeze smell in it. I have a very strong stomach when it comes to smells but this smell make me feel nauseated. It smells like they got a more toxic and cheap smell to cut costs. I'm so unhappy with this will not be using this anymore and original dawn was the one I liked to use. I dunno who would want there dishes to smell like febreeze its just sickening. The point is to have a light scent that you can't smell on your dishes so you know its gone! Noone wants to eat this horrible febreeze scent. I'm not even a person who gets irrated with scents easy. But I had to tell every person I know who's sensitive to scents because it's not even labeled new scent. I've been buying the original dawn for along time and there was no change in bottle. That right there just seems like a scam or trying to trick customer which I have lost respect.

The new scent is nauseating!! Not only is the smell awful but it lingers on the dishes. It makes my dishes smell like I washed them in cheap body wash. Why take something as beloved and classic as dawn dish soap and turn it into something completely unusable?? I will no longer be purchasing Dawn products and this feels like a huge loss.

In regard to the scent lingering on your dishes, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added.
